On the topic of batteries, what are you guys using now? I think my current batts (EFest 2500MAh IMRs) are going bad. They no longer hold a 4.2V charge on the charger (dips quickly down to 4.19 or 4.18) and doesn't really hold that much punch on any of my mods anymore.

I wouldn't take the fact that they drop to 4.19 or 4.18 quickly as an indication of a problem with them. I have some blue 25R's that have done that basically since new, but they run fine.

If I were looking to buy batteries today, I would almost certainly buy HG2s.

HG2s and Sony VTC 5s are the best so far. My experience with Efest batteries has been mixed; some of them were fine, while others were not so good. Overall they don't seem very consistent, and some reviewers pointed out that not all of them are safe.

Depends a lot on what you want from you batteries, Ernest; although a lot of them will serve the general purpose well.

The growing consensus (IMHO) is that, even if you get lucky on the 50/50 Efest gamble, we really shouldn't support re-wrappers who would profit by lying to us and putting us at risk.

If you're drawing well under 20A, and want long runtime, the LG HG2 looks good. (whatever happened to the Samsung 30Q? good batt., last I heard).

under 20A and "normal runtime": Samsung 25R5 (green), LG HE2, Sanyo UR NSX

Cusping on 20A (and you like headroom for safety): VTC4, VTC3, LG HD2C

under 30A: LG HB2, 4, or 6

would be some of them

Batteries and Chargers

Mooch has a blog w/ tables/charts for all the batteries he's tested. I can't view it, as a registered supplier.

My rube-ish, unscientific take (seeing as how I'm not privy to Mooch's charts): the LG HB4 is going to have the least sag at any Amp draw. It's going to have the least internal resistance. And the HB2 & 6 are going to be basically the same performance.

And Vtc3 being pretty close also.

But all 1500mah cells.

Nice place you have Gig, hope to see some vid from your drone as well. Like a low flyby of the Gigitie ;)

I'm working on that slowly. I'm still getting the hang of all the different modes. That and I'm waiting for my 64 gig card to arrive. Hopefully I'll have something in the next week or so [emoji848]

Thanks guys. I'm confused whether I should use a battery that starts off higher but reaches 3.6v quickly (the lowest capacity batteries) vs one that starts off lower but takes more time to reach there. I guess I should do some calculations to see how much difference does it actually make.
And Vtc3 being pretty close also.

I use HG2's in mine. Forget what charger I have but they always come off fully charged @ 4.18 or 4.19v. I think it has something to do with the charger. I vape both grands w/ O-16's @.3Ω and my batteries last an entire day for me. Thats vaping a complete bottle also.
