Cutting final blank sizes today has been really good (good luck, good rewards). I had a number of blocks where I had to take my best guess as to where things were going on the inside, pick the keeper face and cut the other away . .. . . or, in some instances, I decided to nip away at both faces and work my way in to what I thought was going on underneath on both sides. In any case .. . we're hitting jackpots every time today!
So, yay!
Elaine's was pro'ly the trickiest, with just perfect stuff going on on both faces (but the block was at least a quarter inch too thick). I mapped it from the exposed end (seeing where the twiglets poked out on both ends, guessing where they wandered in the middle), and took 3/32" off one face and 5/32" off the other and double jack-potted!( . .. . double-jacked the pot?

Just absolutely CAN NOT wait!!! Is it ready yet?!?

You knew this ofc. Look out West USA, i might go to VA to see my long lost sister and her old fart husband this year and they will marvel at how i've remained an ........ all these years as they ground out an existence and sent their gay children thru Paris modelling school.
Do individual states deport people? just asking.
Everybody else is after the latest CNC and so it goes. You need to find a museum and archaeologist with access to ground penetrating radar, then you can chop with certainty!

I thought that green branches are too young and not hard enough for the regular uses of wood...it can easily bend and possibly fracture 
..or crack in which case it can be fixed with braces to support it 
and with good nurturing and by the grace of God

i've even given up coffee, but it makes no difference. As it happens i was out there mowing the lawn, but i have my hat on else my old bald head would get scalded.
