Normally i'd mow the lawn today, but HRH decided to barbeque and so i am now rather bloated. It's also the case that the heat here has been relentless for the last week and so my pride and joy lawn has not grown much, which is my excuse for laziness!

Last week HRH made some unholy concoction to keep the mosquitoes at bay, which consisted of mouthwash and "stale beer" ( i bought her some of that crappy Miller Lite, which i'd not drink myself) and i have to say that despite my initial scepticism, it seems to work.

I'd give 3 toes for a ride-on lawnmower, but i'd have to be rich like Gigs to fuel it.

The rider's fuel economy is surprisingly good. I can mow everything in sight and use less than a tank of gas [emoji3] If you ever make it up to Michigan, I'd be more than happy to let you take it for a test ride [emoji6]

More than 10 seconds in the grass like that, you'd be eaten up alive by chiggers down here in AR.

I have often thought of moving back up north just so that I could lay in the grass, on a picnic blanket, and read. People here don't do that.

Where i'm from, if you fell down like that you'd have your eyebrows shaved off before you got up. It's imperative to always get home by any means possible to avoid such a fate.
