What an amazing day today has been !

One of those days where it's overcast, rainy and cold ( Florida cold ).

Was minding my own business when DH brought the mail in and handed me a box.

Opened it up and found a note and a pretty silver box...

well, it came from my shop . . . . but not from me. I can't take credit for the idea, the impetus or the means. As a matter of fact, I just removed most of it . . . reduced it to a shell of its former self.

Was freaking out because DW has her Saturday dialysis once a week so I'd be home alone for several hours waiting on a very impatient mailman who hates waiting to get a signature. My heart stopped when after a ton of checking USPS tracking I finally see delivered!Worrying I would find one of those dreaded notes "Tried To Deliver".....but only to find a beautiful Priority Box with a gorgeous jewel inside!

I'm so glad it worked out! Mailmen apparently on their best behavior today; gold star on fridge at mailman houses! Again, the case, that, although I put my heart into it for you, Gil, I can't take credit for other people's generosity (either Annie-mouse, nor Mr. Tortoblo). sorry for such poor pictures but i have my precious in da house!!tryin out the brass derringer out and vaping like a BOSS!!the setup was really easy and only thing i had to go back and make sure was the battery pos up and she fired on the first go.thanks again So much Peter!

i thought the black marks on it were knots but they were just black no crack or divit down in the wood at all,so that really surprised me when i checked up close.2 thumbs up my master wood worker!well gonna go have a vape or 100!

im still blown away that mine is here on saturday!the ease in which it went together was kool also.i watch the wordy mini movie Peter sent me the other day and was able to slide all the parts where they needed to be w/o watchin it again,only thing i hada recheck was pos up er down...up.

all i have is nolox,i need to get some deoxit i suppose for this lil beauty.its really hard to believe this lil thing is wood!im liking the CA finish too.next one i think ill get the oil finish.just dont know what to do...pinch,punch or sumpin like that.wife will kill me if she finds out when i get to my next#.gonna try the black stumpy out for size after this bottle gets drained out.thanks again Peter.

This wife thing is almost epidemic in the squonker's community. We need to be really careful. If they start talking to one another it will be very bad for most of us I tell you. Much worse than than the FDA.

this got me thinking . . . first thought was that "spouse" might be more appropriate (nothing PC, mind you, just the way it is) . ..

second tho, was how come the plural of spouse isn't spice? .. . . and then . . . yeah, maybe spice promises a bit much, hey?

then again, if one person could use the plural in their own personal context . . . having multiple spouses .. . then I imagine spice might be applicable.

In any case, what I was going to say before I started talking was that many of us make the compromise of getting our spouses into vaping . .. much easier to justify gear to a fellow enthusiast; however there seems to be a spousal factor wherein the first to vape spins coils and wicks atties for the second for all eternity.

That spousal factor transfers to friends and family as well. If you were first you're doomed to be the coil maker forever.

That's exactly my situation I spin coils, fill tanks and mix juice for both of us. But still a spice is a spice!

Guys the "spouse/spice" issue is quite simple really, I've figured it out quite some time ago. When you know you have that new mod coming next week and you anticipate the proverbial "Seriously another mod?" from the spouse, the solution is simple. About a week before, you drop the bomb, at an inconspicuous time you say to her "it's been some time you haven't been shopping at the mall dear, why don't you go get yourself something nice".
Works every time.

The drawback of course is that the mod will cost you a lot more but at least you'll enjoy it without naggin

It's going to be difficult to conceal this one I have coming from my wife. I keep rotating the ones I have instead of having them all out in the open, hoping she won't recognize one for the other, but this Pinch is so different from anything else that I have, it's going to be hard. And I have a year to save up- translated "hide" - funds for #2. I think I need a better stash spot.

my wife hasnt been bad at all for my vape stuff.long as i keep her bboxes and isticks ready to roll...lol hard thing to do eh...not really.
