I'm approaching that too, and I agree about how fast the time has gone by.
I look at how much money I've saved, and then I look at how much money I've spent .. not sure that after four years I'm ahead, but with all the equipment I've accumulated, and DIY, I'm good til I'm gone !!
And, the money didn't end up in the ashtrays, it's filling up my cupboards, and freezer.
I wouldn't of had this much fun and pleasure, if I had kept smoking, and I would still be (or worst) coughing up phlegm with blood in it.
Congratulations to you xpen, and all of us for choosing to be healthier.

I also just mailed off a 25 pound box of vape gear I don't use, or never did to the vape for Vets .. so with that, and the new mod from Peter (whom I get to meet), I'm in a really good mood

When I first saw you mention the house, I was thinking good timing.

We go to settlement 4/28 as of right now.

Been working on this for quite some time.

Though, technically I'll still live on the road, visiting my own home (and the family too, I guess, but they're a given) will most definitely bring a high level of Zen.

So i got this lawnmower, as you do. And i don't want to look bad, but i'd forgotten how to use it kinda sorta. It starts first time.

After i've dragged it to where i want it for about the fifteenth time, i discerned that the red bar is for a purpose and it controls the speed at which the mower drives itself. And that is a revelation since i had spent the previous 14 times overpowering it and dragging it to the position i wanted.

We are due rain for the next four days so i wanted to get that all done today and i did.

HRH - 'you walk all day long, how come a bit of lawnmowing makes you sweat?'

'Because it was sunny, ok?'

And again...

You finally get the loan, pay the down payment and receive the keys to your new home.
