I was thinking today. You know these bubble making motorized guns for kids? A bf can easily converted to that with a proper 510 attachment. (I call dibs on patent)
That's exactly what's happening here. It's banned from entering the country yet it's practically everywhere. This attempt at regulation will only raise the prices, and create a huge black market. And under such conditions it will be difficult to hold manufacturers and vendors accountable except through informal means; thus increasing the probability of having harmful or hazardous products around. That's how stupid regulation defeats its own purpose.

Actually the Actors' Guild has very strict regulations concerning these for exposure to performers. I know because I work for an equity establishment and all of the theater folks are highly amused I'm essentially imbibing stage "smoke". Though it's a very valid point as most people who freak out when I go to vape "because it is WORSE than smoking!!!!1111!!!" are stunned when I tell them it's the same thing as fog machines...
