As expected after the newly announced FDA regs here comes the media as well to put another nail in the coffin

E-cigarette poisonings in kids skyrocket, study finds - CNN.com

Kids poisoning is not the fault of e-cigs, it's down to one thing and one thing alone and that's bad parenting. Cars kill millions every year but I don't see anyone regulating them to extinction.

Wow....guess we should be banning those pretty soap pouches that the kids are eating also:facepalm:
There's no substitute for good parenting and protecting our kids but to ban a product because of a parents neglect is ridiculous!!

I think in the next 2 years you'll see a lot of media hype about the great ills of vaping, it's part of the grand scheme of things. BT doesn't just feed the politicians you know.
There's also, clothing, housing and transportation. Sometimes a little wining and dining to boot. [emoji14]

BT has the financial means to try to influence lots of different areas of our society. Big money corrupts....always has...and sadly probably always will :(

I agree 100% with you but there's a minor problem here in that we (the people) elect government to preserve, protect and defend the interests of the people (namely the constitution) not the corporate few.

What went wrong down the line?

used to be if you made more than an obscene amount of money, you'd have to pay pretty much all of the corpulence+ dollars in taxes. Now, you just get to keep it and spend it on whatever you'd like ( . .. like countries, for example). So, our society use'ta-had a sort of check on the cancer of OCD ultrawealth behavior thru it's taxes. Now there's nothing to keep that organ of our societal body from going completely berserk (well, except for its own sense of fair play, decency, and the recognition that it is dependent upon the surrounding body for its own survival .. . which . .. well . . .. sing it to the songbirds and the grasses of the field).

Political corruption is one of the worst forms around! Simply because it affects everyone that is represented. Sadly we say that if an elected official is not doing what their constituents want we wll replace then next election cycle.... Problem with that is the vast majority are corruptible.

Political corruption is one of the worst forms around!

Makes for amazing entertainment, though.

Our corruption trampsing around the globe.
Making friends with the corruption of others.
Forming larger corrupt groups with more power.
So we can unite as nations to decide another is corrupt.
Then enact justice and assimilate one nation at a time.

Into our more perfect form of corruption.

Oh, the days we used to enjoy our morning krumpets and spot of joe accompanying our daily chronicles with the satirical musings filling our time before retiring to our societal duties.

To quote Carroll O'Connor, "Those were the days".

You know a well know countryman of mine once said

"Everyone can be bought, it's just the price that varies"
Aristotle Onassis

Corruption manifests itself in all levels of society, it's a human weakness and I by no means suggest it can be eradicated. Education and some self esteem can perhaps improve the situation but modern man is all about the acquisition of wealth which leads to power. People however tend to forget that we all, rich or poor will have the very same 6 foot deep hole in the ground when the lights go out.
All you have is a legacy you left behind because where you're going they don't take Amex platinum

Now what about them snippets :D

aha! yes indeed ... to the meat of the nut let's nibble, hey, my good man? I was just trying to decide on the order of things. Yesterday eve. and today, I got all the int.-sealing done and then got all the squonker-doodle-fingerholes cut. I was just about to either detail them (holes) or take some pics. Checked the weather forecast and decided tomorrow was soon enough for progress pics (because it'll be nice tomorrow too and I'd rather get some more actual work done right now). and too I think I'm going to look into having another hundred SS Nuppin' made up on account of it seems that would be appropriate, or so I gather. Is everyone having a nice day?

Only one child died from nicotine poisoning as far as i see, which is fewer than died from messing with their father's guns in Texas or from drinking bleach i expect.

A little sense of proportion would be nice here, but i don't expect it from biased reports like that anytime soon.

Glad you're ok Puppy.

Not heard from Tami for a couple of days either - are we all taking sabbaticals now? :)
