regulatory hoops are often the shape of common, modern day businesses. In order to comply, I would need to either: change the shape of my business to one which is not feasible for me or you, -or- opt out. Given that opting out has zero impact on me or my customers . . . .. . it seems the better path.

other businesses, that are the same shape as the hoops, can pretty readily make a few changes and continue on their existing trajectory.

One year in California we had an electrical storm.
We lived in the High Desert - Palmdale at that time.
The most wicked and bizarre and skeery thing I have seen. It was continuous lightning strikes and no rain for several hours
There were many fires.

Fires are a concern but we're so wet right now I don't think it would be an issue.
