Nor snippets

yeah, you know, I was thinking about this (for like a second), and I figure maybe we're going to need an extra round of snippets this time around. Reason being that I've still got the smalls to do, and that's gonna require some kind of a soothing balm; just to get us through the week of what feels like an untimely pause.
So, I'll probably do a round of snippets after shaping (before or after magnet install . .. ? IDK), and then there'll be the smalls work, and then I'll have to do the first coat o' snippets too.

Here's another thing tho, I've got 4 different shapes/sizes to do this time around, one of which is going to be a real one-off, so I'm not sure how long the shaping phase is gonna take here. I'm both-feet into it now; but can't see the other end just yet.

Ah, the fabled Vegemite:)

I've never had it as I think it is particular to Australia, but there is something similar in the UK called Marmite. This has now become a general descriptor over here, as related to music, plays, books....whatever. As in "this is a Marmite...whatever", meaning that you either love it or hate it. If you have ever tried it (or I guess Vegemite) you will see why this is so appropriate! I confess I am pretty much in the latter camp - but what do I know, I don't like peanut butter either so I'd probably get drummed out of the USA:D

The reason i don't use Marmite or vegemite is that i don't like anything like butter or margarine on my bread, which makes it very hard to get a thin layer of the stuff on there.

There used to be something similar in England as well called Bovril, the difference being that that was used to make a hot beef (!! err yeah, beef it said) drink - so you used it like coffee. That was about the same as Marmite.

i didn't know about removing fibreglass using pantyhose (i had to translate that to stockings or tights for myself), but i do know that years ago i worked for a roofer and when it was bloody cold in the morning he swore that wearing his wife's tights kept him warmer than any long johns.
Personally, i thought standing on a roof in winter wearing tights under your jeans is pure comedy.

"when i go home for lunch i'm going to rip the wife's tights off - they're killing me".

Next day i join the smug tossers on the rooftop and i'm all smiles. "Jerry, you were right, your wife's tights are nice and warm in the morning".
And that's when you "fell" off the roof, right? o_O

More often than not he and his brother would be bickering and it was not uncommon for Alan to jump from the roof into a pile of sand below.
The times he caught me out as i went looking for him thinking he'd fallen and may be hurt. He'd be lying in sand grinning. knob.

Did he play football in his school days?

That's an old football trick.
