If I go nekkid they'll be more than just the golf club swingin' Tamer. Besides I don't want to scare the wildlife :D

do pilots get one arm tanned, like drivers do :?:

That's a big no-no Doff. We really try and protect ourselves from direct sunlight at the altitudes we fly because solar radiation is a SERIOUS hazard. In fact the Company keeps a log of the hours we're exposed to solar radiation and it can't exceed a certain amount. The cockpit windows have a fine film of gold to protect from solar radiation, if we didn't have that we would probably all have cancer by now. The cabin isn't that exposed to solar radiation but the cockpit with all the windows is totally susceptible to harmful rays. On average the exposure is less than an x-ray per flight but (figure now I've been flying since 1984) but near the poles where the magnetic field of the earth is much less the exposure rate is much higher

It is and sadly it's a silent killer. As a group, pilots receive greater levels of harmful radiation than Nuclear plant workers. The highest of any other profession.

So if I start glowing in the dark y'all will now know where it's from
