This morning I was reminded how blessed we were. One of my neighbors posted a link to a gofundme page. The page is for another neighbor, a 77 year old gentleman who lost his home and everything he had in the Creek fire. That was the brush fire that got to half a block from my house. I had some money saved for a new mod but figured that I could get that mod another time so I donated the money for my neighbor. If any of you folks are able to and want to help, please PM me and I will give you his gofundme page link.
God bless.

While gofundme makes it convenient for people to give, they take a huge chunk for themselves. If you call Google or PP and tell them you are doing a fundraiser, they will make it easy to give that way (PP will waive most fees, and you don’t even need an account to use your Debit or Credit card to donate). I have done a few with both originators and they gave me a special short URL that can be passed around so your email is not revealed.

Thank you for that info. The account was set up by another neighbor so it is a little late in this case. We do have the option of putting "0" in their "tip" section but really I just saw the post and wanted to help this guy.

Merry belated Christmas all dibidablers! :w00t:

I would have popped in sooner but I was busy surprising my aging dad with a surprise Christmas visit. Included a nice prime rib dinner with all the trimmings and cheesecake for dessert.

Firstly tho, there's never gonna be a not-awkward time to say this, so I'll just say it right now .. .

I want you peeps o' mine to know that you're simply the best bunch of people in the whole world.
And I really can't express how deeply grateful and honored I feel to have been given this opportunity
(by you!).
This has been really just an amazing experience, this thing we did here; and I'm pretty sure it has been a unique occurrence in this here universe of ours.

THANK YOU!

My first visit in a while. I needed a little cheering up.
I suppose all good things eventually come to an end, and it would be hard to match the perfection of this last batch. This kind of magical craftsmanship won't ever be forgotten by the fortunate few.
Thank you all for sharing your humor and wit and thank you, Peter, for making me two spectacular mods.
Best wishes to everyone here for prosperity and happiness throughout the New Year.

they are supposed to be frustratingly useless. :)

i really don't know what it is. it's just something I wanted to do.

[EDIT: more to the point, they're supposed to tickle and itch, maybe annoy, the little gap in our brains between useful and useless]
