Technically, she's my son's dog. He signed all the adoption paperwork.

Here she is with her step-mom Daisy.

Daisy is getting up there in the years. She had been our only dog for the last 5-6 years. We weren't exactly sure how she'd react to a puppy. For the first couple of days she seem to have an, "I can take it or leave it" attitude. Then one evening my son took Hazel to the vet. Daisy sat at the front door crying the whole time. "He took my puppy away!"
Aw, next time you better let her go along.

mine's better for today:

dishwasher busted, "our ship won't go" → 5 min. googs, simple fix → ship go → yay

so, i bought her a kindle

then discovered our library don't do kindle format ebooks

so, does anyone know good free kindle book sites?

dunno, but I'd bet Kindle has it set up so nobody plays [read as reads] for free.

see if the Kindle will run in another format? . .. . settings? (IDK)

There's a lot on Amazon that are free - especially "classics".

I think this link will work...

I used to read 2 - 4 books a week. It was crazy.
I bought my books a yard sales for .25 each 'cause I sure couldn't afford to buy them at that rate.

Was given a Kindle with a pretty red leather cover for Christmas the first or second year they came out...funny thing...haven't read much since then.

I gave up on Kindles a long time ago. No back light = hard to read in bed. I put the app on my tablet and Bob's Ur Uncle. I read at least 2 books a week just reading when I go to bed.

Kindle paperwhite - it's backlit, but still "reads" like a kindle, not shiny like a tablet.
Just in case you ever want a separate device for reading...

Actually, all the new ones are lit. Paperwhite's what I have...

I'm keeping the tablet. I can do anything on it.
