Thank you all I am happy to be home . I was to beat to get on the forum yesterday . I had some major surgery I wont be back to work for at least a week . The scientific reason for my surgery ex-lap resection mass, small bowel resection, appendectomy .
The Doc pulled a mass out of me the size of a new born baby He believes it has been there since I was a child .I haven't been well for along time I have a feeling I am going to feel like a million bucks once I start to heal up .I have a feeling if I wouldn't have gone to Boston the docs here in Maine would have killed me .They cut me from my belt line to just below my breast I am going to be slow moving for awhile . I wont be on much this week I get tired real easy .I will be working myself back into the game slowly. I am super happy to be home and cant thank you all enough for all your support:wub:
I haven't had a chance to open some of the cards and gifts yet I will try to do so to day thank you

Now, Rob...a week might just be a tad optimistic, so don't go setting deadlines on yourself! Abdominal surgery is a big deal, all those core muscles have been messed with and will take time to heal...you do NOT want any sort of setback because you over-extended and injured yourself.

[finger-wagging mom mode off]

So glad you're home!

Glad that you are home Rob, and yes, do take it easy, it takes a while for all they have done to your body to heal properly. I am sure that when you are healed you will be surprised at how well you will feel. Your daughter and employees have kept the shop running smoothly and I'm sure they can continue to do so till you are back at the helm.

Glad to read your post Robert!

Listening to your body is very important right now. Getting tired really easy is just telling you to keep doing stuff to a minimum. You will improve more each day if you go slow.

It is not being lazy to lay back and rest. It is being very smart and doing what must be done! You know this Grandma will be on your tail if I even think you are pushing yourself too hard!

Even opening cards and looking in baskets or gifts is tiring! They are not going anywhere! Pace yourself!

AND if you were in a situation where a return to work note was needed, I am sure they would have had you off work for 6-8 weeks!

So glad you are home, and doing so well!
