I've been vaping 0mg juice since March and, honestly, I've found they tend to be slightly less flavorful. I have a theory as to why that is. Liquid nicotine has a bitter taste to it. I'm assuming in order to compensate for that, and mask it, in e-liquids, the mixer must use more flavoring and sweetener than with juices with no nic.

The best, most flavorful 0mg juice I've found that also produces a slight throat hit is Rou's Natural Toasted Hazelnut Tobacco from Vaperite.

A coworker of mine buys 0mg, can you share how this would work? And would it be flavored? In PM or reply, thanks.

Well she needs to get PG (Propylene Glycol) can get it at a farm or animal store for around $24 a gallon. For VG (Vegetable Glycerin) you can get that at walmart for $3.50 a bottle in the skin care section at the pharmacy. For flavorings to do it cheap she can use food flavorings at the store. For better flavors check out this site. Perfumers Apprentice - Professional DIY Flavors. Now she has use about 10% to 20% flavoring, then add PG/VG to a 70%/30% mix. So an example would be for a 15 ml bottle, 3ml flavoring, 8.4 ml PG and 3.6 ml of VG. Total cost would be around .75 cents for 15ml.

Will explain more if needed

there are very few 0mg nic juices that have throat hit. As for flavor, all should taste the same. Sweet juice and tobacco juice should still taste identical to what they tasted like before.

I completely disagree however, I am finding that not only is the whole "throat hit" issue subjective, it is also relative to what one is used to.... For example, I basically vape only non-nic juice for a few reasons, but one of them being that I find nicotine juice to be quite nasty, with an overly harsh throat hit that I have never experienced with smoking analogs, so I don't understand why I would want to vape anything that is actually harsher feeling than an actual analog. I don't ever choke and cough when I smoke an analog (not yet anyway), but I choke and cough profusely when I vape nic juice at a measely 12mg.

12mg which is supposed to be low, when I vape it, it feels like my throat has been assaulted by pepper spray and I am not exaggerating ... it was so freaking unpleasant. I like a nice throat hit, but I am not interested in throat irritation, and in my experience throat irritation is what nic brings to the table. And if nic juice is how you were introduced to vaping, then harsher throat hits are what you have been conditioned to perceive as "good throat hit". As a china supplier once said to me "nicotine will give a good throat kick!" .. and that is basically how it feels to me

That being said, I find that most of my non-nic juices provide a very nice, and sometimes quite strong Throat hit, but again I think my perception of throat hit is relative to what I have become accustomed too as a "good throat hit". Since I did not start out vaping nic juice, I have been conditioned to a different "feeling" throat hit, so that when I did try nic juice, I simply found it disgustingly harsh (in feeling, not taste) , I could not stop coughing, and found it impossible to take my usual deep draws.

Perception/experience of throat hit, as well as "good flavor", are not only subjective, but also relative and prolly pyschological as well .. that being said, I say embrace the zero nic juice, I personally enjoy it, and once I finish watering down and vaping my sole 30ml bottle of nic juice, that will be the end of nic juice for me.

why do you vape 0 nicotine? surely the whole point to vaping is the nicotine - or am I missing something??

Some people are off of the nicotine 100% , my one friend while driving gets the urge to smoke but by just vaping 0 nic she gets the sensation of smoking but not the nic addiction.

I vape 0 nic and I just got an $80 discount an month on my health insurance as a result.
If an when the FDA and state and local governments start regulating & taxing nicotine sales through the mail, I don't want to be tempted back to the analogs just to get a nicotine fix.
Now I only have to hoard hardware.

EXACTLY! ... when I first began to look into e-cigs after seeing them in a 7eleven and once on tv, I had no idea that there was nicotine in the ejuice, or even that there was "ejuice" involved in producing the vapor. I simply thought it was some kind of electronic gadget that simulated "smoking" and that was enough for me to be interested, as well as believe that it could be a better alternative to analogs, because I understand that it'is the "feeling/sensation" of inhaling, exhaling that I desire the most.

When I found out that the sale of nicotine e-juice was not permitted in Canada, I didn't even care, although it is freely available in the U.S, which is where I first heard of them ( I am an American, Native New Yorker living in Canada since July 2011) . There are Canadian vendors selling nic juice on the Q.T however, the vendor I chose to buy from at first does not, and I am glad it turned out that way .... kinda. I miss my American freedoms and priviledges such as buying what the @*%# I want, whenever the @*$# I want too, from whomever I want to.

This Canadian customs crap, with their seizing and refusing shipments, and duty taxing/brokerage feeing the hell out of whatever they do allow to pass through SUCKS!.... but that is a whole other thread/rant

Why hello ex-New Yorker :) I have a few friends in Canada that have asked me about the ecig. I read up on Canadian laws and was blowen away when I saw that there was shipments being seized at the boarder. I decided to send a USB 510 and some 12 mg juice. I just put on the customs label that it was a USB device. LOL, I didn't lie and if it got seized well it was only about $20 worth of stuff. It went through ok and now she is looking for places to buy. I do see some Canadian ecig sites. How can they get away with selling stuff if it's banned?

Why hello my fellow New Yorker (as I type with tears in my eyes :( ) ... well you are a good friend, not to mention a smart one! I am actually going to order some stuff and have it sent to my mom in New York, who will then re-ship it to me as a "usb device" ... hehe. The one package I did have seized and then essentially refused came from a not so "aware" vendor who labeled my package as "E-Liquid", and they didn't have too because I did not purchase mixed e-juice, but rather the supplies for making it. So if they would have simply labeled the package as " Propylene glycol, flavor extracts, and plastic bottles" it probably would have made it through customs ... it sucked because the purchase was for 1.5 liters of base, which would have lasted me forever.

The Canadian suppliers who do sell on the down low are very crafty ... when you hit the site they never actually say that the juice contains nicotine, instead they just have purchase options listed as 6mg, 12mg, 24mg with no mention that this refers to nicotine content, knowing that an experienced buyer will know what it means. If there site were to ever come into question, they could claim that these varying, yet unspecified mg options refer to something else like flavor extract strength... very, very crafty.

I miss New York so much it hurts ... especially now that I am into vaping. It kills me to see how much larger the product variety is in the U.S, yet I can't freely access the products from my own native country :( ... so jacked up. I swear right now I feel like I am stuck in a third world country when it comes to vaping. and FYI .. New Yorkers tend to complain about how expensive it is to live there, but yo .. these Canadians are being banged left and right with fees and taxes for EVERYTHING! not to mention that everything from groceries to western union money orders cost 2-3 times more than it does in New York, which is mind blowing! ..ok let me stop this rant because I could truly go on forever!
