I've recently lost my grandpa to lung cancer, and haven't felt comfortable smoking. I switched to vaping instead! I've been into vaping a couple months now and am now vaping 0mg juices. I've heard myths about adding cinnamon or this that and the other to juices giving it a throat hit. in your personal oppinion: Is there ANY way to give me the throat hit that I desire without vaping 6-12-24-36mg juice?? (Any response is very much appreciated)

Thanks! I really like the throat hit from 12mg but can't seem to get that with 20pg 80vg 0mg juices :/

I've been vaping 0mg for a while now. Its a different, smoother vape. A strong menthol will give you TH, or a strong cinnamon. I'm used to the smoothness so I don't add strong flavors, but they can add a kick if you need one. Alternatively, work down to 0mg progressively maybe. I vape PG/VG 50/50 a lot, and sometimes PG 70. I think your PG level is a bit low.

personally, I like the vapor, and like the smoothness but always seem to cough when I don't get a throat hit lolol I'm not really into menthol flavors :/

I've found a touch of menthol or koolada is great for adding throat hit. Either can be bought just about anywhere that sells DIY flavorings and there are numerous threads in the DIY section about how much to add etc.

There is also an additive called Throat Hit Enhancer if I recall, but I have never tried it. The DIY section should have more info on that as well.

If you aren't comfortable using additives, you could just buy a straight menthol juice or something like Rawr vapor's Angel Tears - which is basically a menthol additive.

Yeah, 70/30 or 60/40 might help. You'll trade vapor production for throat hit and increased flavor--but usually you can vape pg at a higher wattage so maybe you can get some of that back.

Adding something strong like cinnamon or menthol might help. I keep a bottle of strong menthol around to mix with other flavors to give them a little kick now and then.

Here's what you can do safely to increase throat hit without nicotine:

1) Switch to 100 or 80% PG ejuice
2) Increase wattage--the warmer the vape, the more TH it provides
3) Add a drop or 2 of alcohol per ml of ejuice (rum and vodka are good)
4) Switch to top dual coil clearomizers--dual coils produce more vapor and the proximity of the heating coil to your lips makes the vapor feel warmer
5) How about peppermint? Just make sure it's water soluble kind--not a peppermint oil.

Cinnamon is tricky. Cinnamaldehyde is a lung irritant and some people are very sensitive to it. I generally try to avoid it, but the bakery cinnamon is considered OK for vaping--you may give it a try.
