1.4 ohm safe to use on ego?

Hey guys, I'm new to the RDA stuff and I found one I like on fasttech. I bought a 50 pack of premade 2.8 ohm coils to rebuild my mini protank 3. Could I use those coils on a RDA on my ego 1100? I've heard 1.5 is the max but how much of a difference can .1 ohm really make? Is it safe? Will it wear out my battery?

The eGo has a limit of about 2.5A. 1.4 ohms will push it to about 2.6A if it's putting out 3.7v.

Yeah for an ego you really need at least 1.5 ohms, but 1.8 ohms would be safer, for a minimum.

Excellent point. As the coil heats up, the resistance drops, so even at 1.5ohms, you are risking it.

For ego batteries I tend to stick around the 1.6 to 1.8 ohm range. I find that these resistances work the best. As to the mini protank coils, you really need a twist battery where you can bump the voltage to the atomizer. It would work yes is what I'm trying to say as long as the coil fits in the atomizer. Be sure to check for shorts though with a multi-meter or resistance checker first.

eGo batteries aren't built for low resistances. Anything below 2.0 ohms will shorten the life span of the battery. Anything below 1.8 ohms starts venturing into an area that isn't safe for the ICR chemistry battery used in those things. Stress the battery and you can get explosions.
