Probably the protection circuits in the battery see that as a short, and won't let it turn on. We all know what happens when a battery shorts? I think these have protections to avoid those types of mishaps. Imagine? Or Konstantine?
There are no protection circuits in those
batteries. However there is a max C discharge current (pulse and normal)
On the 78mm
batteries you can discharge up to 10C (max pulse 15C but you have to avoid doing that even just for tests).
I have no X2
batteries for dissasembly nor the cash to buy them all and look inside.
They normally have to have some circuitry inside or if the short guys just placed a diode for economy, i have no idea.
I would not recommend to use lower resistances tho since so little is known for those bats yet.
