You are probably allergic to pg. I thought I was overdoing it at first with some 18mg pg. Hardly any vaping and I was wired and itchy. Now I've settled in to half vg/pg or just straight vg juice. Been vaping 24mg for 2 weeks and am fine.

I never did learn enough about what is really in the cartridges so I'm sure that is the case. Since I haven't been much of a smoker I asked for the lowest nicotine ones they had as well. Guess I'm just not cut out for smoking. I smoked for 13-15 years and my body just seems to reject everything these days. Oh well.

That is one thing that I thought was really nice about blu too. A recharging pack seemed like a good idea and I thought it worked pretty well. As I puffed on the first one I started charging the second one in the pack. It says it can charge up to five batteries with one charge. Never got to test that out.

Glycerin, which usually makes up 20 - 40 % of eliquid, is a work horse for vapor production. Unfortunately, you don't really get a throat hit, but TONs of vapor.

Since you are a non-smoker who enjoys the occasional puff, I recommend you buy pure food-grade Glycerin and a flavor and vape only that. While there is PG in flavoring, the amount is very small and since you aren't a smoker, you won't mind the lack of a "throat hit"... just delicious thick puffy vapors without any reaction to PG.

Has anyone else tried vaping only Glycerin and flavor? I like to do it when I have vaped too much of the nicotine solution, yet not ready to stop vaping...

I just got my first order of juice last night. First couple of times refilling the blu carts was a miss but then I watched a video and figured it out. I actually really liked the blu flavors a lot The three that I'm trying now are ok. I guess I'll have to shop around a little to find what I really like. Blu is still doing pretty good a week and a half later and I've cut analogs drastically. Didn't smoke any for one day over the weekend and thought that was it. Unfortunately the stress at works keeps the old habit going. Good news is I'm only having one analog at work and one at the end of the work day. I hope by next week between the Blu and the 510 (should be here tomorrow!) analogs will be a thing of the past.

I now have the Dura C 510 from Janty and a Titan 510 from Totally Wicked. Identical cigs-different names-both have manual batteries-both are far superior to my Blu. Vapor production and throat hit are very similar to an analog, enough so that I haven't smoked one since the first hit of my 510. The Blu just doesn't produce enough vapor (not to mention no throat hit) to replace the analogs. Even a double hit just doesn't produce enough vapor to satisfy a pack-a-day smoker. Agreed the 510 feels and looks more like you're smoking a pen and the Blu is the same size and feel (almost) of an analog but really...so what? I am successfully eliminating analogs with the 510!!! If your goal is to quit the analogs completely I think the 510 with man batt is probably the best choice so far.

I have posted negative opinions around the Blu in the past. But I found myself with two down batteries on my 510 and a faulty atomizer on my 901 so..........as a back-up while I wait for replacement batteries was to make the Blu work. And I found dripping into their carts with a drop on the atty actually works reasonably well. Good vapor production, good taste, fair life between charges. So its a workable product. Funny, it has never failed either. Where my 510 mannual battery switch broke and my auto battery stopped working - both within a week - the Blu keeps chugging (puffing actually) along.

I have been wondering if anyone had tried dripping with the Blu's, i have been finding that with mine the first few drags are good, then you have to wait 20 minutes before you can get 2 or 3 more descent 'hits' Is it possible with any e-cig be it blue, or 510 or whatever to actually be able to get 9-12 good drags in a five minute period? because only getting two good drags at a time i find i'm vaping every 10-15 minutes, which is kinda inconveinient i'm hoping to make my blu a more satisfying product, because there are things about it that i'm quite happy with

I Got my Smoking Everywhere Gold Kit on A Thursday w/ the 5 starter cartridges... Each Cartridge Maybe gave 10 decent puffs.... I went thru the 5 starter cartridges in the 1st day - it was extremely ridiculous & disappointing.... Also after 1-3 puffs the LCD light would blink its error blink & cease to work for a few seconds.... This has left me in a weird predicament because I was able to go all day w/out a regular analog cigarette & I have a (1) pack of Newports a day habit....

Should I buy some liquid & try to make this Gold Kit ECIG work. Can I use the empty cartridges from starter kit to do this ? Should I try another kind of ECIG ? If So, What kind is a good one & where do I order it from.... The Blu seems like another Smoking Everywhere beginner kit.... I got about 3 days left on my 14 Gold Kit trial before they charge me $104, so I either need to send it back or try & make it work.... Sorry to ramble but I am pretty lost...

I went a similar route.

1. Started with a Blu (Sexy ads, nice size and a great PCC). Cut down 5 or 6 analogs.
2. Next came a Janty Mini Fogger which got me down to 5 or 6 analogs a day, from 20.
3. When I got my 510 from Totally Wicked, I quit analogs altogether (8/8/09).

I smoked Menthols for over 40 years, so I started with menthol and mint e-juice; but quickly found I really didn't like the flavors, RY4 is my favorite. I now buy unflavored e-juice and mix what I feel like. I've got 12 bottles of different LorAnn flavors to play with, but I've recently become partial to the tobacco flavors like Flue cured and 555.

Your mom said not to say...
I would send it back and get a different model. I was able to quit the same day I got my Dragon from Truesmoker.com and I prefer it over my 510 which is the other most popular that I see people recommend. I also hear great things about the VaporKing Cartomizer but have not used it. I think any site that wants to charge you a monthly fee is best not dealt with as it is usually a rip off and nowhere near enough supplies to boot. I think you would find any one of these preferable to what you have right now.

Well, I ordered the blu starter kit but it is not my only kit that I ordered. Let's just say I only heard of E cigarettes about 1 week ago and went all in after joining the forum. Great info on this forum for noobies and I really appreciate it folks.

I ordered the following starter kits:
3- RN4081 starter kits
1 - Blu
1 - Vapre51
2 - Dragon (one auto and one manual)

I haven't tried the SE kit. I only have a Joye 510. The 510 has replaced 33/35 cigarettes a day.

This may depend on the strength of your cigarettes, but I find I need to keep the cartridge topped off to be satisfying. They naturally get weaker as the fluid gets used. Whatever you get, you should have a bottle of juice to refill and top off with.

Most vendors sell the 510 with 2 batts, 2 attys, 5 carts, and a charger. Add juice to your order and you're set.

I just got a 510 in the mail from wordupecig.com who i thought had fair prices and they were fast. i started with the blu about a month ago... at first i was nervous about the blu but I've been MUCH more satisfied with it since i got my own juice and started dripping, most of the time unless the battery is at the end of a charge, i drip 2 drops on the atty and the thing just cranks out vapor. I do like the 510 a little better, the flavor seems to be better, but it could be because i've only smoked 1 flavor in the atty and several on my blus. so right now, i smoke blus when i'm out because with the pcc i think they're a much better "on the go" e cig, and when i'm at home, i puff the 510 manual. so if anyone bought blu starter kit and is now worried because of what you read on this forum, don't panic, just order some bottles of juice and learn how to drip. thats the way to go and it really elevates the performance.

If you have one of those "free" trial kits, do yourself a favor and send it back immediately. Those marketing schemes are fraudulent and should be banned. IF you can get through to the line to cancel, you will be one lucky camper. If not, you are going to be indefinitely paying that $104 a month for cartridge replacements that should cost you $25 a month at most. I have been victimized by these schemes twice and never want to go there again. It's not so much that your e cig is bad. It's the scheme that has to go.

I also have a Smoking Everywhere Gold One Edition kit I bought at the mall while I was waiting for my 510 to come in the mail but only payed 55 plus tax at the local mall here in town. It sucks I only went ahead and bought it to have a back up since the warranty all parts on it for life and I just have to run back to the mall and get a new one if my 510 is down and waiting for parts on it ever. The carts on the SE kit don't hold more then 5-8 puffs for me even with refilling myself so I just direct drip it and you have to suck pretty hard to get the auto battery to work. I love the manual batteries on my 510. I would recommend a 510 with a PCC (personal charging case) and extra fluid best way to go IMO you won't regret it at all just send the other one back its not worth keeping since you had to order it also.

Thanks for that great review! I was also a menthol smoker, and know what you mean about it not being quite right. I have played around and found that a mix of 3/4 turkish blend with 1/4 mint has a lot of body and great flavor. Try mixing and matching, mint, menthol, camel, marl, tobacco, turkish, etc, different amounts and you will find something that is your own customized fav!

I'm a newbie--been vaping blus for a bit over a week. Some questions for the elders here: 1. Blu is in trouble and late in shipping because they have to replace their batter pack due to a potential fire hazard; this has caused them to have to send new wll-starter packs to a bunch of us (but for me, I can charge on my 'puter). 2. They can't send me my new cartridges as soon as I need them-- so what is all this I read about putting fluid in oneself? I could not do it But with explicit enough directions, my son could.

Thanks.

As a newbie into the e-cig world, I was first drawn to the aesthetic quality of the Blu cigs. I ordered one until a week later, I received a notice that the Blu packs were on recall. I smartened up, canceled my order, and purchased the Joye 510 in copper (purple LED). Being new into the world of vapor, I have no way of comparing my 510 experience with any other e-cig device however, I am completely taken back by how well this thing performs  I went the whole day yesterday without a single analog, and I never had the desire for one. My father has been a smoker for over 40 years, and I'm contemplating getting one of these 510's for him too. I'm now patiently waiting for my PCC, and then I will be set for a while! This is my first post in this forum and I'm happy to take part in a whole new vaping revelation!

Mona,

Adding fluid is easy. There should be a video around here somewhere...

Basically you just:

1) Pull off the cartridge.

2) Turn the cartridge mouth side down.

3) Add fluid slowly to the cotton like substance inside the cartridge until it won't absorb anymore fluid. A few drops should do it.

4) Wipe off any spills and reassemble.

The fluid can be ordered online from a lot of different vendors and comes in a great number of flavors. It should come in an eye dropper like bottle to make it easy for you.

Since you'll have to pay $5 - $6 in shipping I would suggest you order a few bottles and anything else you'd like. The juice should be about $10 a bottle or $3 for a sample size.
