So im closing in on 1 year off the stinkies and im thinking of getting something nice for myself as a little pad on the shoulder... But WHAT... My options are very limited... Must be used and cheap (so i can control the way it gets mailed) or from fasttech

I was thinking at stalking the net for a reo or an aerovape, but then again theyre really expensive

What would you guys recommend me?

Congrats Dusif! I'm closing in on that milestone myself.

If I may ask... why does it have to be used and cheap? You do get what you pay for, ya know? Why not treat yourself to a new device that may last you for years to come rather than something used that may have a short lifespan?
You got off the cigarettes a year ago thanks to these things, take just a portion of the money you saved, say... over the last 2 months and get the device you really want instead?

You're investing in yourself, don't short-change yourself or your accomplishment!

Because if i buy something new from a non EU country theres 25% tax +30+ unless its a gift where i can prove some sort of relationship to the sender (friend family or alike) if i cannot prove that the tax office will find the price for the item (new) here and tax accordingly unless i supply them with a print of my bankaccount + description of the item

So ofc i wont be able to buy a new reo since there will be some sort of paperwork inside the package or something showing that its new

But i can buy stuff from fasttech, one cheap and one expensive and make them label both packages with the cheap price

And im a student so i dont have alot of cash... My entire monthly paycheck is 1100$

Ouch! I see... Well, FastTech does have some pretty good clones for the right price. Have you thought about becoming a verified member and then checking out the classified section here on ECF for used stuff?

Reo's come up occasionally, Provari pretty regularly. Always some great deals there.

I have thought about it... I have 3 months to save up for something nice, this is why im making this thread so early, so i have a chance to get some input and a price range

How much does a used reo cost?, and can it handle sub ohm coils?

Im not a provari person, the single button menu thing is something i do not care for, mechs are more my thing i must admit

Reos in my observation don't seem to depreciate much, which is a good thing, and a curse. Most reos on the classifieds here go used for around the same price as a new Reo, but the seller is usually throwing in all the parts and accessories you need to use your Reo right out of the mail... Bottles, Atomizer (or two), parts kits, extra heat springs, batteries, etc... and since it's carved out of a solid block of aluminum (not sheet metal) it really is solid. As far as Sub-Ohm... the Reo Grand with the AW IMR 18650 1600mah battery, is very capable of sub-ohm builds. I personally haven't gone below 1.2 Ohm on mine, but it easily can.

btw... The Provari is a beast too, but like you, not my thing. The Reo is just an amazing yet simple and reliable mechanical.

Well how much is a reo exactly?...
And it must be able to go pretty low... Right now im at 0.35 with a kissing nano dragon setup... This build gives an awesome heat a really smooth vape and a sweetness to the taste that i cant quite figure out... So im going to want to build this again... Would be nice on a reo

A new Reo Grand is $144.00 here in the USA.

The RM2 Atomizer is another $40.

I'm not sure what the voltage drop is on the Reo but word is it's very efficient. There is a thread in the Reo section where they mod with a 30A automotive fuse for extreme sub-ohm builds. I'll admit, it's out of my comfort zone so I really didn't pay much attention... sorry.

I have built a few 0.5-0.6 sub-ohm dual-coils on my Phoenix V7 Dripper on a JM22 and the clouds were pretty impressive and fun to do at dart night with the guys just to see the look on their faces, but it really wasn't for me. I build micro's though, never tried dragon nor twisted. On my Reo/RM2 my sweet spot is around 1.1 - 1.3 Ohm.

I know it's a big investment to consider so you do have some thinking to do, but the Reo is a tough, solid workhorse with a devout following.

from a proud Reonaut!

Wow... So many people here with such awesome milestones. I'm only 101 days in, but hey, it's a great start!!!! :toast:

Everyday that we're off the cancer sticks is a milestone onto itself my Brotha! It won't be long before we're congratulating you on your first year!
BTW Mark... I work in Honesdale, and travel into/thru Scranton pretty regularly, is there any B&M's around Scranton/Wilkes worth checking out?
Nothing within an hours drive of Port Jervis/Deerpark where I am... That I'm aware of anyhow.

We have all been there... BUT...

The most awesome milestone is the day you switch to vaping only... Its the only one that truly matter...
