Yes, I have said the unthinkable, my dirt cheap knockoff ego beats the living p**s out of my joyetech... I'm not going to say where I got it, but I will say that it's a VERY chinese knockoff:laugh:

Esthetically it is SIMILAR to a real ego, the main differences are: Gold where the silver usually is (tacky, yes) soft rubber button that glows BLUE, but the best part of all is that it is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than my joyetech, both in thickness and about half an inch shorter

So here I go

1. More consistent vape - My joye sometimes is off, I use a real Joye atty REGARDLESS of PV.
2. The small size difference makes it THAT much easier to keep in my pocket and be discreet
3. the weirdest part is that my battery lasts LONGER than my joye both are 650mah
4. the knockoff has a 8 second cutoff, which allows me to keep it in the pocket without bursting into flames, although this is preference, I wouldnt take a longer hoot anyways.
5. Since it is smaller, I don't have to use my cone and it still doesnt look like a crack pipe.
I hate the cone anyways
6.My knockoff gives me 2 flashes when my battery is 75 % drained, thats sweet!
7.the button hasnt gotten stuck once, my joyes hasnt either but I use the knockoff so much more
8.The small size feels so much nicer in my hands
9.Lasts all day and then some, joye lasts one day exactly
10. WAS HALF THE PRICE. I paid 40.00 for 2 batteries and 2 attys etc. I payed double for my joye.

I bought the knockoff then "upgraded" to the joye, but I hate my joye, so the knockoff remains supreme..

I dont know if I just got the short end of the stick with my real joye and got some crappy batteries thats not common or something, but the only disadvantage is the black and gold looks tacky.

What do you guys think?

It all comes down to power from the batteries and resistance in the atomizer. Most of the eGos that I've purchased have been on sale for $40 with great warranties from Liberty Flights. The Rivas go on sale even cheaper. I preferred a longer battery (in the 900mAh range) when I was using them, but I've moved on to mods, and a pair of batteries is about a quarter the price for a lifetime warranty device. I would suggest helping out your fellow vapers, and let us know where you got it, unless you're affiliated with the company.
