100% pg, is it supposed to be like this?!

i got some 100% pg juice from vaperite because i found vg is causing me to cough up too much clear phlegm..so i wanted to experiment.

using 3.7v with a lr 306 atty and well..i know vg is supposed to give the vapor, but im hardly getting any vapor AT ALL. sometimes theres literally nothing coming out

i have to hold down the button for a long time and even then it just feels real weak as far as what im inhaling and cloud production..

is there any technique to this or anything? or am i doing something wrong?

bout 4 juices of 100% pg and was hoping this would work out for me..

EDIT: jus tried a lr 510 and absolutely nothing is coming out..ok barely..but.not even that..sigh

EDIT2: when i first started on the bloogs (kr808-2)..their carts were 100% pg...but i felt like i was smoking the filler too, but there was a good amount of vapor..what gives ;(

Yeah, straight PG doesn't produce much vapor. Sounds normal to me. Look on the bright side, you can use it in the movie theater.

I get a ton of vapor w/ PG...so much I can't read monitor through it.

Since I have a gallon of PG I often mix juice 100% PG.

Test you gear w/ unflavored 100% PG.

Oh, I had a similar experience with 100% PG in a vortex....nothing, no vapor. My brain couldn't handle it I could feel I was inhaling vapor and If I didn't inhale at all I could see vapor, but once I inhaled it was gone.

That is my only experience w/ pure pg. Sorry I'm not much help.

I get clouds w/ pure unflavored 100% PG on all my devices from 3.2v to 5v.

Some flavors clog wick and kill the clouds.

Some flavors slag the coil and kill the clouds.

Other factors kill the clouds also.

I use unflavored PG to clean the flavors out of my attys, I get plenty of vapor out of it. Decent TH, no flavor, OK vapor, so I say no, it's not normal. Ego battery, usually regular 510 LR attys.

I vaped 100% PG for a long time. 100% PG does produce less vapor but there is still some. I've since switched to blends in the 50/50 to 70/30 range. If you're getting no vapor at all with different atty's I'd say it's probably the brand of juice that's causing it. I've had Dekang and Vapor Bomb pure PG juices and they both produced adequate vapor, just not what you're used to if you've been using juice with VG in them. If you're intent on staying with PG I'd suggest you try a different vendor and see if that helps.

I test my DIY by mixing with 100% PG and I get a little vapor from it. I test like that for too long because then I start sneezing. The PG is just too irritating.

I haven't vaped anything but 100% PG since Jan, 2010. Today, for the first time, I mixed in some VG (80% PG / 20% VG). It's quite nice and it produces more or less the same amount of vapour - which is a lot!

I find it strange that you say PG produces hardly any vapour. Could it be that your supplier isn't using the right stuff? Sorry for playing Devil's advocate, but I find it really suspicious. Maybe try PG based e-liquid from a different supplier.

Did you by any chance just clean your atomizer before switching to the PG juice?
I'm thinking maybe it still has some water in it or something?

I use 100% PG. All of my juices produce a good amount of vapor. Maybe try going with a 90/10 or 80/20 mix. This low of an amount of VG shouldn't irritate your lungs.

That's what I'm thinking too. Vaperite is an awesome vendor and I doubt anything is wrong with his juice. But I could be wrong I guess.

I am a PG user with regular attys.

PG definitely produces vapor in very noticeable amount. However, I have noticed that if the atty gets very hot, the vapor production drops to almost nothing. It makes sense since PG is very thin compared to VG.

Since you are using a LR atty, I assume that it will get hotter than a regular atty. Could it be bringing you to the "too hot for PG" level much faster?

If you have a regular resistance atty, it may be worth a try.

Loads of vapor from 100% PG from liberty flights here. Usually on a LR510 or standard 901. Either to dry, flooded, or getting the atomizer to hot (as Astatine points out). I have noticed thicker vapor from VG, but like the OP, I get the clear phlegm issue with heavy VG... 70/30 or 80/20 is ok though...

don't think i'm flooding the atty at all

so it seems like either

1) juice wasn't made well.. which i'll give vaperite the benefit of the doubt because i love his 50/50 juices and they have a good reputation

2) or my LR atties are too hot as astatine stated.. I don't think I tried my 2.0 ohm atty yet.. so i'll give that a try too. not sure if I want to dish out the money for a regular atty just to find out that fails too ;D
