Since I was born I've had allergies to raw vegetables and fruits. :?: Weird right? Apples, peaches, avocado, celery, carrots, pears, etc. When I bite into them my gums and lips will swell up and itch. After chewing and swallowing, the inside of my mouth and throat will swell and itch as well. :( I enjoy these foods too much to stop. This only goes for raw veggies, cooked I'm fine. These symptoms will only really last for about half an hour or so then I'm back to normal and I can snack some more....

So my girlfriend ordered some juice from FSUSA and one happened to be 100% VG Mango. I've never tried 100% VG before so I was curious. The most VG content I've tried was the 50/50 bases with no problems. So without thinking about the soon to be consequences I dripped 3 drops and proceeded to vape. Within 2 minutes my lower lip was swollen and my tongue was all kinds of itchy. It's gets worse cuz I'm not smart.... About ten minutes after dripping, my entire mouth, inside and out, was red, itchy, and irritated. So I stopped, but it was too late... After 2 cups of water and glass of milk my problem was not fixed and in fact getting worse. My throat and LUNGS were on fire and felt like they were closing up and it was getting very hard to breathe. The symptoms lasted for OVER AN HOUR! WTF 100% VG? Are you trying to kill me?

So in closing, I won't be doing that again... Also, take it from me, FSUSA uses great VG. The real deal. Thanks for reading if you've made it this far, comments always welcome.

OMG! That must have been so scary! I am so glad that you are OK. It must be hard to have an allergy like that since so many things contain VG. I am also sensitive to it and have always been. There are only certain bath soaps and laundry soaps that I can use without breaking out in hives. I have been sensitive to VG since I started vaping but can tolerate FSUSAs VG. It is a very good quality VG and I can tell the difference in it from what I got from some other vendors. I am so glad that you are OK but please, no more VG!

Thanks for everyone's concern. I am fine and will probably not try anymore 100% vg juice anymore. I have a good feeling it's the vg and not just the mango. Vinnie, while it might very well be the mango I'M not too sure it is. I'm not sure what's in the flavoring but I can imagine it's similar to the apple, strawberry, orange, watermelon-kiwi, strawberry-kiwi, etc. I've had them all with no problems.

Further, 50/50 hasn't bothered me from what I can tell but since there may be some skeptics I've tried it again. Honestly I don't notice much of a difference compared to the 80/20 pg/vg or 70/30 pg/vg I usually vape but I can say I don't tend to vape as much at 50/50. It may be because of discomfort but I can't really tell.

Anyone else willing to chime in with a similar allergy?

Oh wow! I'm so sorry that happened to you, and I hope you're ok. :(

If you haven't had mango before... it could be either one really. I'd bet with the VG, but it could be the flavor. I would suggest you go to an allergist and see if they can identify it for you. I definitely wouldn't recommend you try to vape either 100% VG or Mango again!

But, it could also be the VG of course. For some people there's a "threshold" of how much it takes to cause a reaction. Some people react badly to 100% PG but are fine at 30/70.

People can be allergic to anything, even sunlight. Unfortunately it's hard to know until you have a reaction. The VG we use is derived completely from vegetables, so that could very well be it.

wow sry to hear that, im glad that you OK. So i have an idea that some one should make a sticky on health risks of the juices what symptoms and other staff like if you allergic to raw veggies than you should not use high concentration vg. Well you know. I really hope that we make awareness thread on the allergic reactions.

Allergies can be nasty. I am allergic to all cillins (Penicillin, Ampicillin, Amoxicillin, etc.) and had a doctor prescribe me Augmentin. It is a Amoxicillin based antibiotic. Luckily, I has only taken one, and not 1 minutes prior, when I got a call from the Doctor's office warning me about it. I ran to the bathroom and got them out of my system quickly. I still had a reaction from them but, it could have been much worse. Allergies are nasty and are not to be taken lightly.

I'm allergic to raw fruits and veggies, too. Itchy mouth, tongue, scratchy throat and itchy lips. I took a few hits off my partner's eGo and she was vaping a 20/80 ejuice. Within just a few minutes, I felt like I had a massive case of expando lungs and was coughing. My throat was really scratchy and felt like there were little needles sticking into it. 50/50 works fine for me. Even 40/60, but anything higher in VG than that...NO WAY!
