Hey Guys,

I wanted to post this in the juices sub-forum, but I'm a newbie and had to post here, sorry.

Anyways, I have been vaping ECOpure 100% VG juice for quite some time now. For some reason, in the past few months I've been experiencing tightness/discomfort in the chest and shortness of breath when I vape. I've read many threads through Google searches from people that have had similar experiences while vaping 100% VG juice and I was curious to know if there was a PG/VG blend ratio and nicotine content level that you thought provided the best "balance."

Thanks!

I'm not entirely sure what you could do other than try other combinations. Maybe 50/50 with pg/vg and see how that goes? I like the smoothnesss of 100%vg myself. But i have also recently recieved a 20/80 mix with really no throat hit and is incredibly smooth. I think the next month I will go for a 50/50 mix myself just to see how it goes.

Some places offer a vg/water vape as well that might be worth looking into.

Yeah, it's a shame that I'm having this type of reaction since I love the thick clouds of vapor this juice produces and it's slightly sweet taste, but I have to see if a blend (or 100% PG) would do the trick.

My brother recently started vaping and he purchased his kit and juice from a place here in Miami called Vapor Shark. He got one flavor that they sell there called "Wings" (named after Red Bull Wings) and I really liked the taste. I asked via e-mail and they told me it was a 60/40 (PG/VG) blend.

I would have to agree. Try the 50/50 mix. Personally I like the throat hit, but wanted to try something with more VG to see exactly how much more vapor it would produce. I used a strawberry juice from mtbaker and it was very smooth, sweet, and no throat hit at all.

Yeah the one i was talking about was the strawberry shortcake one from mtbaker its 20/80. The throat hit is like non-existent I may shoot for a 50/50 next because I have found that I do miss the throat hit little.

I'm a noob but have found most sites i look at for juice that the standard starts at about a 70/30 blend pg/vg. When i initially purchased my set up I purchased about 5 different flavors of juice off the vendor not really knowing anything about them...they all are 70/30....which for me I think produces just a little bit much throat hit at times. So i searched out a site for juice...which is hard to do in canada but found a place and ordered an array of percentages to test....70/30....50/50....30/70....and 100 vg as pg produces that throat hit i went to test the other end of the spectrum so hope this helps both of us!

I am experiencing the same thing. Until I read your post I was wondering why it was happening since I have been vaping for over a year without any negative results. For the last month I have been using gorilla juice which is 100 percent vg. Going back to a 60 40 combination. Maybe bobas and gj juice could be diluted with some pg and not lose their flavor.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. I definitely need to try a 50/50 or 60/40 blend just to see if the VG was the culprit.

What setup are you running? I notice on my Pure that I get some tightness in my chest and I think it's due to the small air-hole. My Nobles and drippers are enlarged airholes and my chest is fine. Might just be from straining trying to vape.

I have been using 80VG and 20 PG and have been loving it. I had a few issues with the throat and chest when I first started but they have gone away. I honestly think it was because I was sick for a while there, but not sure. OH and I run at 6mg nic.

I just read that all Halo juices are that mix, 80VG and 20PG

I had one more question...can the type of device your vaping from also affect your breathing? The reason why I ask is because I've been using an Ego-C Tank all this time and sometimes I need to suck in a little more to get a decent-sized vape. Could that be compounding the problem?

Anyways, I placed an order yesterday for a Kanger Protank II Glassomizer to use with my Ego-C twist battery. The whole tank thing got so aggravating.
