Hey Firephly, Every flavor I tried from Guilty Pleasures Organics has been ready to vape right from the mail. In fact I do not notice much change after steeping. I have vaped their Orange, Cherry, Chocolate Caramel and their Coffee. I am now vaping a mixture I make from these flavors. It is heavy with the Chocolate Caramel and Orange with a touch of Coffee. It tastes amazing and makes huge clouds.

I have not tried Virgin Vapors yet, but as soon as my next chunk of change hits I am getting a sampler pack with Honeydew, Blackberry Swirl and the Kona Velvet Milkshake. I am also going to try out Velvet Cloud Vapors and see what that juice is like.

The flavors are strong from GPO - in fact I mix them with VG nic base and straight VG so I am basically using the pre-made juice as a flavoring. I end up with 24mg juice and about 1/3 of the total volume is the pre-made juice from GPO and it is still plenty of flavor for my liking.

The Healthy Lungs formula is present in each of their flavors but I do have a small bottle of the straight up formula. Next time I mix up some more juice I am going to add a bit to my mix just to see...

Thanks for answering, I've been so curious! Just one more question-what does happy lungs formula taste like by itself?

Hey everyone

Reading this got me concerned! What kind of reactions are you having?

I didn't really get the difference between PG and VG as I'm totally new to this (I'm on day 6 of quitting cigarettes and going strong!!)

The reaction I get from PG and from some of the synthetic flavors feels like a mild flu - lack of energy and achy body parts. Not so pleasant.

There is a ton of information on this site about PG and VG so you can research it up. And I am not expert myself but I would never vape PG again and would encourage anyone who is willing to listen to avoid PG and vape 100% VG juice.

Congrats on the cig quitting!

I have not vaped the Happy Lungs straight up as it has no nic in it and I do need my nic. But sitting here smelling the open bottle of Happy Lungs in front of me I would say it smells similar to a cross between a faint cedar note and an olive note. It is undetectable to me when it comes mixed in the GPO juices. I do believe in the healing power of herbs.

I know some GPO vape fans use like 2/3 Happy Lungs and 1/3 of another GPO flavor.

I can't speak for others, but for me, PG makes me feel like crap and I break out in pimples, rashes and/or hives, and I get itchy all over, starting with my face and neck and then spreading. My throat & tongue burns (even with 0 nicotine), sometimes my lips, and I get really bad dry mouth. It also gives me headaches.

I think I also react to something besides PG, though, with the PG only causing some minor problems, because I reacted horribly to some HHV juice that was from the Purity (PG-free) line. So mine might be a mix of PG & flavorings. I just know that I can vape Alice in Vapeland (I think they told me that with VG base, it's about 90% VG), Velvet Cloud Vapor, the Blu disposables, and Virgin Vapor with no problems, but every other brand I've tried has caused varying levels of bad reactions. (In defense of the juices, I have a lot of allergies to things most people don't even realize you an have an allergy to, so I'm definitely an exception and not the rule.)

A number of those juice lines are mixing with 100% VG but their flavorings still contain PG. It's kind of a pet peeve of mine because even a 10% PG will cause me to cough like I'm choking. If I continue vaping, I'll get congested and eventually an allergic bronchitus or sinus infection as if I'm sitting in a field or ragweeds. If you have hayfever, there is a chance that similar profiles exist with some of the flavorings too. When it comes to flavors, they are so highly concentrated at times, that it's not like someone at a stove in the kitchen boiling down a vat of blueberries. This is scientific stuff and they combine molecules. At that level, there is very little difference between organic, "natural" and synthetic. Is there a chance one strawberry flavoring might give you the hives and another brand of strawberry flavoring won't? You bet. All it takes is a molecule of change. At this point, it's trial and error. What effects one, may not affect another.

I know that MBV uses FW and those are PG based flavors. You can't order 100% VG from them. Maybe we should add the distinction of PG free eliquid. TFA has a handful of flavors that are triacetin based rather than PG, but most are PG. There is a blog post of confirmed PG eliquids. I keep loosing track of it.

My experience with some 100% VG, its thick and if you got some darker desert type vapes at 100% VG, oooh weee goodbye ATTY's

I haven't had a problem but i don't typically vape dark dessert juices and such, but I've heard that adding a couple of drops of distilled water or vodka thins it out nicely.

If you vape juice from Guilty Pleasures Organics, Velvet Cloud Vapors or Virgin Vapors you can rest assured there is no PG whatsoever in your juice. I do suggest vaping organics if allergies are an issue. It works for me!

I hear you on the atty attack from the darker 100% vg juices. But I roll with a rebuild-able RM2 atty from REOS Mods and it takes me 30 seconds and costs me about 1/100th of a single cent to re-wick. I dry burn the coil for 2 seconds, slap in a new wick (every day or every other day) and continue to vape on! :vapor:

I am so excited to go to this coil building class they are having at the local store here sunday. I'm really curious to see what a difference it makes. I told myself that once I learn about coil building and become proficient then I will get a REO. I have one concern though, you have to use a plastic bottle for the REO, and I am concerned about the leaching of PBA from plastics, Is there a PBA-free plastic bottle I can get?

That is a legit concern. In fact I was thinking about this just yesterday. I am going to give this a research or three and see what I can learn.

On the "Keep Calm and Vape On" side of this thought, the juice is only in there a day or two before it is vaped up so I am not sure how much leeching could transpire in this amount of time.

And kudos for thinking in the REO line of thought. They are vaping nirvana. There are great videos posted in the REO section of this site. This is how I learned to build the mighty RM2 atty that is proudly parked atop my magnificent REO Grand. :2cool:

Just curious, how did you determine that you have a PG allergy?

I found a juice I just loved. MY ADV - Backwoods Brew - Applewood. I still miss this juice. It is 70% PG and 30% VG. I was vaping the living heck out of this juice. I started feeling ill - like a mild flu. I researched on this site and learned that many folks have a "sensitivity" to PG. So I tried 100% VG juice and felt better. That was enough for me. I have vaped 100% VG ever since.

Still miss that juice though... :)
