I can't believe it has been 50 days since I quit. I feel like a million bucks! And in the process I've turned 5 others onto ecigs. Can't tell which makes me feel better...quitting smoking or helping others quit. Either way it is amazing. One of many life changing experiences I've had in the last 2 months. Unfortunately my girl was in a horrible hit and run accident 3 weeks ago that sent her car rolling at 60MPH. She's lucky to be alive. If anything would have driven me back to analogs her accident would of been it. And through everything I didn't even think about smoking...not once. All in all I just wanted to send some positive energy to everyone to keep up the good fight. We're all in this together and know how hard quitting can be. I appreciate all of your help/wisdom and find myself passing it on to loved ones and anyone else that seems interested.
Thanks again

Good for you Craig, success stories always encourage others. I have to say that quitting smoking isn't easy, but the E-cig has made it about as effortless as it can be. I was sold on this vaping idea with my first vape. After I had been vaping for 3 months, I lit up a cigarette. Had to put it down after three puffs and find my PV. If you do end up smoking some tobacco you will be amazed at how nasty it taste.

Thanks Bubba. She was released from the ER and has been going for MRI's and follow ups with an orthopedist. She escaped with a torn rotator cuff, sprained wrist, mild concussion and bruising. Considering the cops that arrived on the scene was about to call for body bags, anything short of death is a miracle. The car saved her life and sacrificed itself in the process.

Thanks Elapid and Tehec. Just the smell of cigarettes makes me cringe. I can't imagine the taste be any better.

Sounds like she was very lucky then! It also sounds like she had a great car.

Thanks Chief and Col.! We got a partial plate # and desciption of the van from witnesses. But unfortunately the investigator on the scene determined it wasn't a hit and run. Just found this out myself and am extremely ...... that the cops put this in the police report and have done nothing. Karma will catch up to this person. I'm just glad she's alive.

How could it not be a hit an run if the van smashed into her and then took off?

Congrats on your 1000th!!

And BIGGER congrats to your girl! As a medic, I've seen fatalities at lesser speeds than those WITH airbag equipped cars! She's DAMN lucky..better keep her around for a while...hint, hint, hint...(welcome girlfriend!) ;)

I was hit by a drunk driver while visiting a friend in L.A. years ago. Hit the side of an Expedition, driving a Corvette at around 50mph. Flipped the truck 3 times, mid-air. I ended up with 2 broken knee caps, 11 broken ribs and a 120 stitches to glue my scalp back to my SKULL.

I realized later that the last word out of my mouth would have been 'well, ......'

Good thing I made it through...;)

That's what I said! They determined there wasn't enough evidence to persue any further actions....a.k.a more paperwork

That reminds me of the time my car was hit in a hit and run, i was not in it at the time but the guy that hit me left his entire front left front head light assembly embedded in the rear end of my car! Headlights and all!

I drove around the neighborhood, found the car, got the plate and everything and the cops said that it was not enough evidence because "NO ONE SAW IT"

So actually I believe you.

Thanks Domino! Glad you're ok and here to talk about it. I myself was in an accident 10 years ago and doctors said I would never walk again. Well I'm happy to say I am alive and kickin :D

It's not what you know, it's what you can prove

Thanks and congrats Erin. Spread the word! If you tell your husband he tastes like a dirty ashtray when you kiss him that should be motive enough to try ecigs lol
