I have a gorgeous red Bloog XL battery. Thing is, the draw is inconsistent. Sometimes, it feels like the battery is "flickering"...ie: the draw stutters. Sometimes it gets in a pattern where every other draw is cool. If I am conscious and draw harder, this doesn't seem to happen.

I guess my questions are: is the switch maybe a little further back since the battery is so long, or does it take more energy on the draw to trip it, or might I just have one with a faulty internal switch?

I find that I am using it less and less, as it has started to annoy me a little (maybe I am becoming more "sophisticated" in my vaping habit. ROFL)

Anyone else experience this with the XLs?

yeah did that Frick, see the thing is it works but it doesn't work well you have to really pull hard to get it to activate. Now I tried to loosen the connctor with heat from a soldering iron and pull it apart but the thing is built like a tank lol. Good on Leaford. I am contemplating contact cleaner. Can't make mayo without breaking a few eggs. I'm pretty sure the switch is gummed with juice the question is how to fix it.

Glad it worked for you zotzer. Nedley, there are methods for (attempting to) remove the juice from the battery. One involves rice, the other involves those silica gel packets that come in shoe boxes (amongst others). Unfortunately, I can't seem to find either of the threads at the moment. Basically, you want to get the gel or rice to draw the juice from the battery. I'll keep looking and edit this if I find the threads...

This might be one of them:

Here's my thoughts on what might have happened with mine. I dremeled it apart out of curiosity. IMO the juice that had leaked down in the battery did not affect the activating switch. What I think happened was the center post was light on the silicone(that's what it looked like to me) and mayby by juice seeping down there got between the calk and the base part and possibly made it release a little and the post got too low. As Zotzer said when you draw hard it pulled the post up enough to kinda make contact and activate the switch. That and the solder joints are probably the weakest links in the batty. Just my opinion.

Also I am in AWE of how these tiny parts are all put and soldered together and the tiny acoustic switch. Keep up the great work Leaford.
