after only using 78mm KR8s, i finally got a 102mm Bloog and its great, lasts much longer. and the size is not a problem. is there any other "long cig" aka 102mm gen2s out there?

my go-to batt dealers are Bloog, Volt, and Halo. Bloog seems to be the only one who has the longer 102mm cigs. i know Elite is supposed to be gen2 but they dont have the long cig either.

Bloog is great, dont get me wrong. but the shopper in me likes to investigate just in case. any help would be appreciated.

yeah they exist, and yep the extra battery life is great. the 102s exist in 808s fairly regularly but most of the time theyre gen1 aka unregulated. which is fine, but just not my bag. V2 has the unregulated long cig, so does V4L, as well as many no-namers like the ones at LiteCig. i hear great things about the V4Ls but i think the Bloogs are my best option at the moment.

Just got my V9 102mm in the mail. Here it is, with my other batteries:

808Batteries.jpg

Top to bottom:
- VaporNine 102mm 380mah
- SI Volt X2 650mah
- SI Volt 78mm
- SI Volt 65mm

We will see how it goes!

nice. i really like the passthru capability of it. have you had any issues with the X2 or has it been pretty good?

It is pretty awesome. Lasts forever, has a built in passthru, and draws really well. Haven't had any problems with it at all.

Except! It is super heavy. I like to have it in my mouth while i am doing other things, and sometimes I will lose it because it is so heavy. That's why I was so intrigued by the 102.

Here are my impressions of the 102mm from VaporNine.

Pros:
- Great battery length. It lasted from about 5pm to 2am. So about 9 hours, not using it constantly, but exclusively.
- Great power. It works very well, and the draw is easy to take on it, similar to that of a Volt.
- Works with Volt chargers. I know some of you don't have these, but it works just as if it were a Volt, with the indicator lights and everything.
- Looks good. The paint (or whatever gives the battery color) is high quality, and nice to the touch.

Cons:
- Power drops off. It drops off when it is close to running out of a charge. This I have not noticed ever happening on my Volts. It drops off for the last 20% of the battery, which isn't bad, being it still works. But it doesn't work as well until you charge it again.
- It is ridiculously long. The battery its self is longer than my 65mm with a cartomizer on it. And if I put an XL carto on the 102, it is crazy long. Good for going out, as it is what I used it for mainly in the past few days, and looks like a crazy long cig.
- Pocketed, it is awkward. Since it is so large, it kind of is awkward to have in your pocket. I had to adjust it a few times so that it wasn't horizontal and impeding my walking.

Overall impressions: I like it. I will use it, especially since I have it. If you don't mind the length and the drop off, I would recommend the buy, as it is a great battery.

PS: If you are going to get it, I would appreciate you use my referral link. Otherwise, that is okay too. Either way, enjoy!

well written! nicely done, Doc.

from your report, i can tell the batt is unregulated, which can been seen as good and bad. an unregulated cig will start out at a higher voltage than a regulated one, but die at a lower voltage than the regulated one. the unregulated cigs usually start out at around 4.2v and die at 3.2v. a regulated cig (i.e. volt, halo, bloog) will be 3.6-3.7v for its entire charged period.

again thanks for the report.
oh, and FYI, keep an eye on that batt while its charging, as your using a charger designed for regulated cigs on an unregulated cig. ideally, youd want a charger built for unregulated cigs (also known as generation 1. generation 2 is regulated).
im not a pro by any means but this is what ive leaned on ECF.

V2 was my first KR8. decent products, but overpriced IMO. they do have a lifetime warranty that applies if you have made apurchase within 90 days, so there is that. but yes, like the above poster stated. V2s are unregulated so they do charge up over 4 volts. they die at around 3.3v.

Has anyone tried V2?
They claim 4.2v, but I don't know if it's regulated or even a sealed batt.
