I'm making a 10mm li ion protection board and was curious if I did so would anyone be interested? These would be ideal for the surefire 500ma 10440 cells. If you would be willing to pay $6 (I would make these by hand start to finish+ parts) let me know...Ive ordered what I need and was going to make them for personal use but want to see if there is some interest out there. These will have a green indicator LED but other colors could be available.

Don't know why you would want to make these by hand, Hopefully your not soldering the Protection boards to the batteries with a soldering iron, that would be kind of dangerous.

There are many reasons why I want to make them....first I didn't want to have to deal with getting custom batteries made. Second I love electronics and mods and this is a piece of cake to make. They will not be soldered direct to the batteries and will be similar to your setup. Actually I got the idea from your setup when I was trying to find protected AAA's. The .8mm PCB I have should make the overall length of the entire battery setup about 1.4mm longer than a standard AAA battery.

EDIT:: Attached is the PCB prototype. 10mm outer diameter, 3.5mm inner diameter hole (for the nipple on the positive side of 10440) I drew this up quickly as an example. Etched board will have properly laid out traces with correct spacing.
