I'm in need of a few 10440p batteries and a charger for said battery. I see janty USA carries the battery but even though they say it's protected, the battery doesn't have a p on it, so I'm leary (that and the last 10440 I got there failed in a couple of days...so I was really concerned it wasn't protected...but I don't know...could have been a dud). I would like to find a supplier in the states but am not against buying from China by any means. I see no protected 10440 on deal extreme website...so...folks...where can I find these (the batteries for the joye stick [also for the kissbox passthroughs]). ????

Quite frankly, the 10440 is so wimpy, why would you want a mod that uses it? It has less mAh than a $14 350 mAh XL Kr8 battery. With an adapter, it can be used with almost any atomizer.

Or, if you like Joye products (which is a sign of good taste), get a 650 mAh eGO or Tornado. I've never understood the appeal of a Janty Stick. $75 for what? If you like its shape, get a 900 mAh Bartleby (which also is a PT) for 2/3 the price.

I do not mean this as a put down, but as a puzzlement.

I have to disagree with you on this one neighbor! I just made a mod from an AAA box, mainly because I had an extra 10440 laying around from a failed passthrough. It's the one in the middle below. I think this is my favorite mod to date. You're right, the battery life is hardly better than a stock 510, but I love the size of this thing and the fact that it has a master on/off switch. That the whole thing cost less than a 510 manual battery doesn't hurt either :)

I don't know if you're in a hurry but I've bought 10440's from dealextreme.com that worked great for a flashlight I had. I'm new to vaping (and the forum) so I'm not sure how well they'll work for you. They're cheap and come with free shipping, but there's the caveat - it could take a month to get your batteries (or any other geeky thing you order from them.

Good luck!

I want it because I already have a charger and my friend fell in love with my TINY 2xAAA battery box mod for kr808 atties! I want it cuz I want it! ROFL!
I can be pretty arrogant sometimes. You just saw an example. I think your answer is a good one: "I want it cuz I want it!" It is self-justifying. The fact that I strongly prefer tubular PVs over boxes is very relevant for my purchase decisions, but irrelevant for yours!

Yet another good reason: The two of you are modders. I can only imagine the satisfaction of vaping something made with your own hands, regardless of how many puffs you get prior to recharging the battery.

I do stand by my opinion of the Janty/Joye Stick. For $25 less one could get an equally small Bartleby with almost three times the mAh ... and for only a few dollars more, one could get a Juice Box (a bit larger, I grant you).

Most significantly, there is an "arrogant" position I can take and be able to justify: Please never use unprotected batterys! Yet another device with unprotected batts (CR2s) exploded yesterday: Robert's Detonator exploded in his pants pocket, burning his leg and scaring the #&%! out of him. That's right, the inventor himself.

Who sells the Cisco laser mod, VP1 or something? They had them, but I don't remember who they were and it's been awhile. She needs protected batteries Brian. Haven't seen them on DX yet.
IkenVape sells laser mods ($35); VaprLife sells the VP1 ($84-$89, including protected batts and charger).

MAD VAPES has them again protected ones ya.
That is a great lead. And they have protected CR2s! I was beginning to think they were an urban legend. [Because of the protection circuit, they are a bit longer than the unprotected. Not sure if they fit devices designed for the CR2.]
