I thought these were kinda odd looking with the little tab thing and wondered if they would still work in our mods....

Those are in fact project batteries meant for such as laptop batteries, that you must incorperate a protection circuit when using them in series or parallel.

Just to be 100% clear these are unprotected batteries sold as they are. It is up to the person making the battery pack to add a protection circuit. Just wanted to make it clear if you bought these and soldered them into your mod as is they would in fact be unprotected.
