I have both and they seem pretty much the same. They don't hold their voltage long, constantly dropping off as they discharge. I now use the aw imr's .. from what I understand they are safer and give a bit more umph to the draw.. also they hold their voltage longer rather than dropping off right off the charger. They cost a couple dollars more per batt but for the performance they are worth it to many of us. They cheapest I've found is superTmanufacturing you can get two for around $15 shipped.

I'll stand with donnah on the AW IMRs. They are all I use now, the biggest issue I had with TF's and UF's was the protection circuit tripping on my LR cartos. I don't have that issue with the AW's and a single 14500 will last me most of a day.

Oh and Super T has the best prices on AW's stateside. Big thing to look at is the shipping as well, I think you end up paying about $1.50 shipping per battery until you hit the point where the flat $5 shipping would be cheaper. One thing to remember though, they don't send confirmation e-mails when they ship, just when you place the order.

FYI... Madvapes has 'em for about $5.00 a copy. In their retail shop in CLT, they're $6.

Edit: Ultrafire, that is...

I bought some ultrafires from madvapes awhile back and they were too big for my box! I took them back to the warehouse in Cornelius and the guy didn't know why they were bigger than the others I had. He checked them in his own box and they were too big, they fit but he had to force them in. He gave me a refund.
I went by the retail store a couple weeks ago to get a 901 atty, they were selling for almost $2 more than the website. I didn't mind too much paying it cause I knew they had to pay rent on the store... if I had balked at the cost I feel like they would have given it to me for the website cost. Also.. I had a friend order some on ebay and they were also too big for her box, wouldn't fit at all.

I use a vv bottom feeder box and have problems with the UF and TFs tripping the protection circuit also. It is a good indicator that my atty needs to be burned cause it has some build up on it that's causing the resistance to go too low. The reason I went by madvapes to get a higher resistance atty was I was trying to figure out what was causing my trustfires to trip and cut off.

John-Browsing through the first couple of pages of your ebay link I noticed that very few of them were protected batts. Unprotected Li Ion batteries aren't safe for the application we use them for. The few that were protected or safe chemistry (like the AW IMRs) were more expensive than you'd find them through the vendors listed already.

Agreed I use the TF Flames in my SGT VV Army Tank and I was almost certain I was not going to get anywhere near the battery life I get with my 2500mah 18650 Provape Provari batteries. Well much to my surprise and elation I actually get about double the battery life out of my two 900mah Trustfire's as I do with my 18650 2500mah in the Provari. LOL Whodda Thunk it right??? LOL

I personally would never use ultrafires . Trustfires are a little better but still not great and specs are always overrated . I do use the TF flames and have never had a problem with them . They actually last a little longer then aw IMRs but cant pump out as much power as a IMR . Beware though as there are tons of fake mismatched tf flames being sold . I only purchase them from DX because i know they are legit . A lot of the problems you hear with these batteries are people who are using the fakes but dont know . There are ways of telling but most likely you wont know until receiving them and some are close to looking legit . Ways of telling are labels with no hologram and off color flames as well as the protection circuit being bigger or on the opposite side of the other one . The best batts are AW and Panasonic(callies kustom) . The panasonics i think only come in 18650 though but they are even better than AW . The AW IMRs are your best choice and they are cheap and safer . Next best is the AW protected which will last much longer than the IMR in terms of battery life .The protected are much more expensive then the IMR's though .
