Murhpy's Law.
My eldest niece's cat (Butterbean) passed from his UTI this morning, both the kids are taking that rough. It's worsened by the fact that we might have to surrender the other two cats if we can't find an affordable place to board them. I pray that tax return gets in so we don't have to. We've got the money to board one of the dogs. Dixie is an emotional support for my sister, so I said board her and I'll find Mulisha a new home. My brother-in-law says wait until Monday so that's up in the air til then. There's a lot of anger and sadness flying around, but we're sticking as close as ever. I'm livid, but hanging with the fuzzbutts is helping.

I know what you mean. If he was near I would hold them until he was able to take them back. It just breaks my heart. I despise non animal friendly places....its ridiculous. I am glad Red is awesome at rescue

Idk why I didn't just send him with my sister and B-i-L when they took Dixie in. I half figured they would take payment upon pickup since they charge you an extra day if you pickup after 1200.

Yeah, I just remembered Petsmart boards before I read this. I'll see how much for a day, if it's like $10-15 I can do it.

I think overnight is $30 for their cheapest "suite". $15 for just during the day.

It's been a few years since I worked there, so it may be different now.

The thing that irritates me about that is how d!ckish the guy was. The conversation literally went like this. "Thatchur dog in the truck?" "Yeah, I'm trying to find.." "Get it outta here!" Then ol hillbilly bob (no offense to anyone) slams the door. So much for that Midwestern hospitality we westerners hear about.
But we're not taking any chances, my B-i-L works tonight, so my sister asked him to take her truck (with the fuzzbutts) and I'll go pretty much to turn the truck on every few hours to keep it warm. I'm writing this from the parking lot of P&G in Kansas.

You may even try talking to the Pet Hotel manager and explaining your situation. The PetSmart I worked at, the people in the hotel were very sweet and accommodating. They might be able to help you out somehow, even if it's just a small discount. It's a stretch, but maybe.
