16340=ICR123A 3.7v

OK time for a real dumb question. I currently picked up a Saber Touch off the classifieds. Have wanted one for awhile so I was thrilled to find one.
On the ST website it says to use 2-16340 3.6or3.7v batteries.
I have brand new ICR123A 3.7v batteries and every where I go to look up 16340 batteries these (ICR123A) are popping up.
Are they the same battery? Can I use the ones I have or do I have to buy ones that are actually marked as 16340?
HELP! I want to have the batteries when it is delivered, so I need to order soon.

Yes, that is correct.
Those are the AW and are great batteries.
Sometimes you will see them as RCR 123A the ones you have pulled up are better, IMO.

yes they are the same...
batteries when listed as 16340 or 14500 or 18650 are simply the battery measurements...
for example 16340...
first 2 numbers are the diameter in mm.... 16mm diameter
second 2 are the length in mm.........34mm long
the 0 on the end indicates a round cell..

but the short answer is yes 16340 = RCR123a
