Just picked up a small single battery box mod and don't have a lot of experience w/ batteries. It's advertised that this mod will take an 18350 or 16340. Will there be any difference of one or the other? I've not gone down to 3.7v vaping in a while but wanted a little PV for putting in my pocket and stealth vaping.

Is there any difference between these two batteries? Will there be a noticeable difference in the heat/power etc?

Thanks!

The 18350 will probably be at least 900 to 1200 mah and the 16340 will probably be around 650 to 880 mah (really depends on battery chemistry and manufacturer) - and some 16340s (CR123) are internally resisted to 3.0v, so you'll want to make sure you read the description before buying if you go with the 16340.

Providing we're comparing the same line with the same manufacturer 16340 also known as RCR123a will be slightly smaller than 18350 so they won't hold a charge as quite as long, the output will be the same otherwise between the 3.7 16340 and 18350.

If your mod handles both get the 18350 for longer vape time between charges.

I agree with this. Might as well get the longer time between charges if you've got the choice. :)

Uhm...sorry to bump this but didnt want to start a new thread...

I wanna order some new batteries and i have to decide between AW ICR123/16340 Protected 3.7V 750mAh and AW IMR 18350 3.7V 700mAh.
The mod i am using is The Megalodon SS.

Until now i've used AW IMR but considering the non-protected mod and battery (i know...AW IMR is safe chemistry) i would feel much better to buy some AW ICR.

So, will i feel any difference between the two considering it's a mechanical mod?

Regards,

Only if you are using some really low impedance carto/atty like a 1.25ohm DC or at least something under 2.0 ohms. Then... you might... maybe, notice the 18350 IMR will hit a touch harder because it'll have slightly less voltage drop under load.
