Red AWs (700 mAh) and purple Efests (700 mAh). Both are IMR (safe) chemistry, have a low internal resistance (= lower voltage drop on mech mods and have more juice in the useable voltage regions), and they have fairly similar discharge curves. Personally I prefer the Efests as they can handle a higher amp draw (10a vs 6), but the AWs are tried and true.

Same as above. I use only AW imr batteries in my mods.

Andrew Wan (AW) is a distributor in Hong Kong who purchases batteries in large quantities made by the major battery manufacturers in Japan. Not all batteries are created equal from the factories, and AW knows this. He puts all these batteries through extensive tests and selects only the best to be sold as AW batteries. You are paying a little more for an AW battery to know that it will be a consistant high quality battery. Peace of mind.

After doing some extensive battery research over the last several month, I have found that Efest often over-states it's battery specifications. Mah ratings and amp ratings can be accepted with a grain of salt. Independent testing of the purple 35 amp 18650 Efests have been shown to be only 20 amp batteries in tests.

Need some purchase recommendations for 18350's. Which brands, mAh, and why? Thanks

I've used only 18650s in my mechanical mods for the last year or so. You didn't say what device(s) you're going to use these in. A couple of weeks ago I bought an AW 18350 for mech mod stealth use. I'm not going to go sub-ohm with it. At 700 mAh it's just not going to last long enough for me even if it could take the high draw. For that application I'll use AW 18490s at 1100 mAh and 16A max draw. I won't take those anywhere near 16A draw, but at 6A it will last long enough for me to be happy with the experience.

For me there was no other choice than the AW in 18350 size. I know for sure what it's capable of, both in accurate specs and in real world performance and that means a lot to me. Batteries are not something I take lightly in vaping.

Is there any 18350 batterys out yet with an amp rating over 6? It seems every 2 years they up the 18650's amp rating but 18350's always stay the same 6...amps...=(
The purple 18350 Efest 700mah are 10.5 amps, I have been using them in a .45 ohm dual coil dripper without any issues, batteries don't even get mildly warm during use.
