Well I know that the button top battery is the one for use on the Provari but I got the flat top . Figures huh, oh well the vendor only has flat tops now and besides sending back for refund , is there any other way this battery can be used on the Provari mini? If you have found a way to use these flat tops on your provari let me know..

I have other batteries but the 18490 is the most convenient . the size and the time it offers are awesome the 18350's last almost a day and the 18650 last all day plus but are so big , now the 18490 is just right nice size and all day vape battery. I was waiting for like 2 weeks before ordering and then another week for delivery then I pop the box to find this flat top..I see Provape is against using magnets for flat top batteries ..Is there a way to use a magnet? not that i would as this Provari is relatively new and wouldn't want to destroy it or its warranty..but still curious as to what or how people where using magnets sounds a bit dangerous like placing foil to circumvent the safety...
Your right just placed an order for 2 new batteries from provape ..anyone find these AW batteries on ebay or are those all counterfeit ?
Sorry for rambling on...any intel is appreciated..

Again there are ways to make a flat top work but they are not safe. I don't flaunt this here but I am the one and only electrical safety officer for an industrial manufacturer with remote sites scattered nationwide.

That is Provari's reverse polarity protection at work. If you look, the positive terminal is recessed so that it takes the niple top to make contact. No warranty if you try to get past it.

There's a decent chance that any AW battery sold on EBay or Amazon are counterfeit. AW is the most sought after battery for mods and upscale flashlights, so they are the most counterfeited battery in the world. Buy only from authorized dealers selling authentic AW brand. (ie RTD Vapor, Provape, Super T Manufacturing)

Andrew Wan (AW) owns a distributor company in Hong Kong. He buy huge lots of batteries from the finest battery manufacturers in Japan (Panasonic, Sony, Samsung). Batteries are not all created equal coming from the manufacturer. He and his crew individually test each battery and choose the top tier to be sold as the AW brand, put the red shiney wrapping and hologram AW sticker on them. You pay a little more for AW, but you can rest assured that you will be getting a consistantly high quality battery.

all good info thanks i see why the nipple is needed to fill that void in the reverse polarity protection..if that void is filled then it will work but if by chance a battery is placed say a another flat top incorrectly well it wouldn't be good for the user or the device...Thanks again and agree it should be left alone for safety reasons...
