18490 progress

I was really hoping to join the crowd but just saw that after leaving Alfred, ME my priority shipment took a right turn at Albuquerque and is now sitting in Montgomery, AL. It hopped right over Indiana and isn't likely due until next week. I had been lulled into believing in Santa as the previous delivery date was Dec 23rd. Oh well not my only lump of coal this week so I guess I was a naughty boy. I bought a Mini off the classifieds that was supposed to be nearly new and included (2) AW IMR 14500s plus all of the bits and pieces(instructions, reducer tube & bottles). The kid bait and switched his offer after accepting payment telling me that the IMRs were bad and offered a brand new set of Trustfires he'd gladly charge before sending. I told him I had no interest in the Crudfires and asked him to just send the Mini since he offered upgraded shipping. This was purchased as a gift for a local police chaplain who commented on my Reo but couldn't afford one. I received the Mini yesterday and it has a collapsed spring that has been restretched (blue), it was covered in eliquid(I hope it is eliquid ) inside a baggie and included only the original (spent) 3ml bottles. I'm going to give the chaplain my Mini that was recently purchased off Robs site and send this #FAIL back to Rob for repair.
I'm hoping when I get that lovely Cocobolo 18490 that my spirits will soar a bit higher.

This type of thing happens all the time .People buy a mod off the classifieds and there in need of repair talk about a slippery greasy person to do something like this .Man it just gets to me how dishonest some people can be. I feel your pain my friend I hope the 18490s shows soon. Send the mini to me I will send it back running like new I will even send it back clean and dry

Thanks Rob and all of those that commented with the kind words. I did check feedback on this seller and quite a few others bumped his thread as a loyal Reonaut so I want to be certain of what I believe prior to trashing him in the negative feedback thread.
But it's Christmas Eve and all in my home are full, happy, healthy and awaiting our drive to midnight mass. I hope you all are just as blessed in your own way and to all of those watching, Merry Christmas! Brew

Well I just got back from midnight mass and found PMs from the seller who explained enough for me to believe he didn't realize there was anything electrically wrong with the Mini. He said he bought it off the classifieds himself and had no idea it was bad. He is also shipping me two new IMRs. I felt obligated to post that he is making things right. Thankfully it likely was residual e-liquid that was coating the mod. Seems MisplacedSooner was right. Brew

Finally, mine reached Europe this morning. What an amazing work... it fits perfectly inside my hand and vapes pretty well, even if I must still adjust some settings.

wow, it looked gold. id say fantastic photo skills if you can make aluminum look like 24k. nice work there.
