I am using these with dual-coil mega cartos.

Well, the DCs require some amps. And, not all batteries are created equal for amp output. I've done some comparison testing with different brands and types of batteries. I've come to the conclusion that I won't be using li-on batts with multi coil cartos any more. Out of all my li-on 18650s, I only have one that is what I consider to be acceptable for the dual coils. And, in fact, though it is a nice battery (AW 2600 mah), it's really not supposed to perform as well as it does (I got lucky, I guess).

If you want a real treat with the DCs, get a couple of the 4.8v ni-mh batts and a charger for them. They drive the dual coils at around 4.4 loaded volts fresh off the charger and only gets down to around 3.8-ish loaded volts when the battery dies.

Which device are you using the 4.8v batts with?

I use those in my maxi rough stacks mostly. I have a couple of other tube mods that can take them, too, but 99% of the time, they're in my rough stacks. I have an acrylic tube, a flashlight mod, and a copper that keeps coming back to me no matter how many times I sell it or give it away that all can hold these batts. Sometimes I'll use the copper for a map tank.

The 4.8s are perfect batts for the regular 1.6 ohm dual coil cartos. - I use 2.0 ohm boge cartos with those batts if the juice is 100% VG, thinner juices, I use 2.8 ohm boge cartos. - I like a 2.4 to 2.5 ohm atty on the ni-mh batts, too. - And, a 2.8 ohm CE2 in a MAP tank is about perfect with these batts. - Even a 3.2 ohm CE2 is good depending on what juice is in the tank.

How many ml's of juice are you vaping before those 600mAh 4.8's die?

It depends on the carto or atty I'm using. With the dual coils, I can vape one dry and part of another so probably around 2.0 or 2.2 ml. I get more vape time out of a single coil but maybe about the same juice consumption. I've become fond of using a boge 2.0 ohm with AVE 100% VG juices on those batts. My best guess is 2.5 ml.

Thank you for that. :)

More checking today - these batteries when fresh off the charger deliver sub-par performance even compared to my 2400mah one after it has been used for 8 hours. I looked on the side of these new ones and they say "low discharge". The gray one I have says "high discharge rate" right on the side, so I guess that is the difference. The one I am comparing to is this one:

Protected 18650 Battery, 2400 mah

I just ordered two more of these - by far the best 18650 protected battery I have used - long life and keeps putting out good performance. These new cheapies are going in my garbage - they just don't work well with dual-coil setup.

hmm, I'm taking 2 ml's (in a dual coil) won't last me all day, very close though... with those 4.8 batts. I'm still in search of a cheap PV that will handle a whole day of dual coil vaping above 4 volts.

I'm gonna link a post that someone stated about these 4.8's that under load of a 2.0 ohm dropped to 3.7, which is still more then my E-power prob drops too with a DC though. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...variable-volt-e-power-switch.html#post3758571

At the very end, they might get down to 3.7, but if they were saying that's load voltage from a fresh charge, they made it up. These batteries die somewhere around producing 3.7-ish (maybe as low as 3.5v, but sometimes as high as 3.8) load volts on a 2.0 ohm boge carto. At full charge, they produce between 4.3 and 4.4 load volts on a 2.0 ohm boge. - After the first few drags, it drops pretty fast to 4.2 but stays around that for quite a while.

I'm not loving them either. I have one out of 4 that's performing about the same as my 3000mAh 18650's (this one was the first one I used and I thought, "YAY!!"), one that never indicates a full charge on the charger (even after charging overnight), one that's dead and in the garbage and one that definitely isn't firing my 1.5ohm atty like the 3000mAh batts do. Glad the price was so low. =\

They're internally resisted. They are producing within a tenth of a load volt of my trustfires with a 2.5 ohm atty, but the gap widens as the ohms decrease. They're a little over two tenths off at 2.0 ohms and close to three and a half tenths lower at 1.7. So, at least in my opinion, these are not too bad with a standard resistance atty, but just aren't up to the task for LR.
