I have a 3.7v/6v Saber Touch mod and have noticed no performance issues when running at 6v, however, when I am using the mod at 3.7v, regular atomizers work fine, but LR atomizers (I have tried several genuine and non-genuine Joye 510), seem even weaker than the normal 510 atomizers? :?: They "work", but nowhere near as well as they do on my ego...

The battery I am using (I have two in rotation actually) is the Gray Ultrafire 18650 3.7v, 2400 mah protected battery. Now I have heard that I could use a high drain 18650 to get better performance at 3.7v... Can anyone confirm that to be true?

Thanks

That shouldn't be...no idea why they would be weak, unless the battery needs charging.

As far as the high drain goes, I did some searching and reading about them recently and the gist I got with the 18650 was that high drain doesn't help them, because they have such a high mAh rating anyways. The high drains are better with the 14500's.

So...you should be good with the LR's at 3.7v. Do you have a multimeter so you could test the ohm readings on the atty's? That would help determine what's going on.

Thanks for the response... I doubt the issue is the battery since the regular atties work just fine and it seems that the LR 510 atties are the only ones I have trouble with on the mod. It's not that big of a deal since I can use them on my Ego (I primarily use the Saber Touch at 6v anyway).

Perhaps the 510 connection on the mod doesn't like the ones I have for some reason...
