Ok so I am probably the only vaper on the planet that has been vaping over 3 years and have never owned a 6v device. The reason I have never stepped up to the 6v is the great performance I get from 3.7v mods with lr attys. So my questions is basically is there any point of going to a 6v device that you can't use lr attys with over sticking with lr on a 3.7v.

Everyone has different taste so one size doesn't fit all, but for me the main reason to use an HV device is a particular liquid that just needs some more kick. Also, some liquids taste different according to how much power is used, and one day you like it one way, the next, another. Like, say, chocolate mint: low power = cool, minty. High power = big kick with strong chocolate flavor.

Also there are 3 variants on high power:
6v was the first as it what you get when you stack 2 batts, but it's a bit over the top for some people / some flavors, unless you get high res atties / cartos.
5v with a regulator suits me better as it works with standard atties. For me the ultimate vape is a regular atty with drip tip on 5 volts, but it's so good it must be illegal.
VV is the modern way to go, you can have whatever you want, if you can pay. Good for driving an odd atty or cart / liquid combo that needs more volts to shine, and maybe comes out at 4.5 or something as the best voltage.

If a regular e-cig has a power of 1
- then LR has a power of 1.5 to 2 (up to double the vapor & power)
- 5v has a power of 2.5 to 3 (up to three times the vapor & power)
[depending on the end fitting]

On 5v you can use standard atties, but on 6v they may blow, you probably need HR fittings. It's a nominal 6v but fresh off charge, with two 3.0 volt cells, it's kicking out over 7 volts. That means more expense, buying new atties/cartos.

There are people who say that 6v with HR fittings is the most solid vape of all. Me, I'm too mean to buy a whole new load of stuff.
