I purchased some CGR18650CH (high rate) batteries for my new innokin SVD. From the pbusardo website, they seem to be just what I wanted.

Today, for giggles i took apart a new (and not going to be used) Li-Ion battery pack and got all excited. Inside where 3 CGR18650CG batteries. From what little I have found they can still be drained at 2.5 amps.

Does anyone have any info on if these could cause any problems?

Thanks

I second gjshaw29's opinion. Best to only use high-drain batteries in higher voltage/wattage devices. In fact, my Tesla will not even work unless there is a high-drain battery in it. Turns on, gives readings, but will not fire the coil. I'm sure this is a safety feature, and for very good reason.

The regular ones might be fine, however, for a normal 3.7V non-varying tube mod. Add in variable voltage and/or wattage, and high-drain is really mandatory.
