there's a lot of bottom feeder mods out there that take 18650 bats, muddy.
I'm not 100% sure about the lower end price wise ones but the ones I own/owned are the phidias feedimus, monkeyboxx, ali'i, reo grand. and there's a new modder out there called southpaw modifications, he makes both the artisan line and the masterwork line.
the cheapest one out of those is the monkeyboxx. Tomb makes them, they are a very top quality wooden bf and he gives you a lot of extras in the package, carrying case, extra bottle/assembly, battery and charger. He used to give an atty and drip tip but I think its the bat/charger now. They go for 110 last time I checked
I know that with the phidias, the modder, fono, has used cartos with his mod before, but don't quote me on that as I have never used cartos on any of my bottom feeders.

EDIT: Now that I look at your join date and post count, I'm sure you knew all of this and feel kinda stupid for posting. your probably looking for a cheaper bottom feeder mod, take a look at COV, I know bruce had a couple bottom feeders on clearance for less than 50 bucks but I'm not sure what size batteries they take.
Hope that helps.

Please don't! I have never really been into the box mods so haven't really stayed up on them! I know about most of the ones you posted and they are GORGEOUS! Just not sure if I want to drop a bill plus for an experiment and not have it be what I can use.Plus I hardly ever hear of people using Cartos on them and that is my main interest I have just never been big on dripping except for tasting new flavors. I have several GREAT mods already and am going to have a hard time convincing the wife I NEED another one as is. My biggest thing is when I am at work I have a 6 hour stretch at night where I am pushing 3000-9600 TONS of sometimes dangerous products in narrow channels and it isn't overly desirable to turn the light on and blind myself to top off my carto 4-5 times a night. :p
Another reason I am a fan of the 18650 battery. One less thing to worry about while I am on watch.
I was really hoping one of the MODsters here on the forums were making one that had slipped under my radar honestly, well that and to get some feedback on the Cartos with a bottom feed system.

Thanks for the info I will look at southpaw, haven't checked him out yet!

I work at night in the dark in heavy industry and just got a reo mini. I work 12 hours so I usually have to change batteries once. It uses a 14500. I've already dropped it several times onto concrete and no matter, it works fine. I understand it can use cartomizers as well but for me I use a whistle tip that I took the filler out of and fill up the juice bottle and I'm good for the entire shift. Just love the reo. I understand the larger reo grands that take a 18650 battery will be out in about a week.

Muddy, if your going to do it than its worth spending a bit more and buying a quality one like an Ali'i or Reo in my opinion plus you may not even want to run a carto once you try one of these, (just my opinion of course) However if you want something on the cheap end like you stated then a Wet Box from COV may be the ticket, they are available in a 5v too

I needed another charger anyway, and I picked up a Missy's wet box for 50$ plus charger and batteries to see how I like the bottom feed thing. Thanks for all the advice and consideration all! I WILL keep you posted how it suits my needs!

I unless I missed something no one recommended a WetBox.
