So i've just finished making the box mod of the youtube video How To Build a Dual 18650 Box mod by Find My Vapes with the only difference of having one 18650 battery instead of 2 and no fuses, but all the circuiting is the same. I've tested the voltage on the 510 connector when pushing the power button and it tells me i have 4.01 V and this is what i should be since the battery says its supposed to be 3.7V.. So up to now everything seems fine until I put on my new nautilus mini and i realized the atomizer wont fire and the coil doesnt event get hot and red. I tried 3 new different atomizers (two 1.8 and one 1.6) and still nothing.. I cant seem to find the problem and i've checked multiple times to see if everything eas screwed on well... Can anybody help?

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

1. No link provided
2. A loose battery fully charged is 4.2 volts. 3.7 volts is the nominal charge.
3. The coil should not get red if you have juiced it up. And if you are firing a nautilus stock coil with no juice you may as well throw it out because once the wicking material gets burnt, the coil is toast.

Without a link all I can say is try browsing around the Modding Forum. Read all the "stickies". You will not be able to post over there until you get in your first 5 posts (and the server updates at :25 past the hour).

Is this the video ("How to Build Unregulated Dual 18650 Box Mod")?

Have you tried your DIY box mod with any other tanks, attys, etc? Just wondering if it works with anything other than the Nauty.

Yes it is! And i'm supposed to receive a cheap 1100mah battery tomorow with a clearomizer so i'll try it on my mod and same for my nautilus.

Cool. Let us know how it works with the clearo. Chances are, you're not going to have two bad "tanks". If your box mod doesn't work correctly with the clearo, that will point towards the mod being the culprit...could be something as silly as the center pin of the 510 being too low to make proper contact. If it does work with the clearo, then it is, obviously, the Nauti that's being a P.I.T.A.

If you're using a cheap battery, it might not have a high enough power output. It will still read the correct voltage but it's the amperage that matters.

You should buy good batteries from reputable sellers. Sony VTC 4 and 5 are hard to find and expensive but these are fairly inexpensive and still high quality 18650 Samsung INR18650-25R 2500mAh High Discharge Flat Top

Are you sure it would make a difference big enough to not even light up the coil after its first full charge? I dont think i've got the best batteries you can find but it would be surprising that it cant even heat a 1,6 ohm coil..

i'm not quite sure but i remember that i took care of checking to see that its pretty much the same..

Well, they are all different and if you get the wrong one it may not work or it could fire and not stop. Also the resistor has to be correct. For this type box I prefer the IRLB3034 with a 15k resistor. From your description it seems as though the mosfet isn't firing. That's why I ask about which one you used
