I believe the AW IMR 18650 has a C-rating of 15C. That's good for high dran, but only has a charge capacity of 1600mah. The AW protected cells have higher charge capacity (upward 2600mah), but the C-ratings for these aren't advertised at any of the sites that I've been shopping. I'm looking for a good trade-off in an all-day charge, but high C-rating. I ordered the new Vapage V-mod XL. It uses 18650 batts. I have some cells from laptop batteries, but have no idea of their discharge rating. I'd like to order some safe(r) batteries for this mod, but don't know where to trade the sacrifice (charge capacity or discharge rate).

The other AW 18650 batteries are rated to 2C, I believe. So that's 5.2 Amps on the 2600mah AW battery, or 5.8 Amps on the 2900mah one. Should be enough for most purposes I'd think? Unless you are planning on using a couple of dual coil carto's at the same time which might be pushing it. The LiMn batteries are lower capacity but can provide higher discharge rates.

Personally I like the AW 2600 mah, it has a 5A max drain and plenty of capacity. This site: 18650 battery test 2011 has a bunch of info, so you can decide which model fits your needs.
Haha! I found that site a few weeks ago and posted a thread with that link! Thanks for the input.
