I've never tried a suction type activation before, only manual and sound activated. How and in what way are they different to vape than the sound activated ones?

Almost all Ecigs are activated by suction when you draw on the atomizer. The process is automatic, the sensor in the battery is triggered by the suction and provides the charge to the atomizer.
