Hey gang,
Just pulled the trigger on the smoktek Natural Telescopic and have some questions.

Do I "need" a kick?
I'm planning to use Protanks, EVODs, and/or CE5+ clearos, so my heads will be between 1.8-2.5 ohms.
I have IMR batteries for my Vamo, do I need different batteries now, like protected?

I rewick my heads, but haven't done coils, and dont really think I will.

Any other words of wisdom?

Congrats!
You don't need a kick, but if you're vaping with tanks and want a more consistent hit from start to finish a kick is a good way to go.
The ohm range you've stated would be fine with a fully charged 3.7v battery. As it weakens though it will have a noticeable decrease in hit/flavor as your battery starts to drain. Time to swap out batts!

I use Efest and AW IMR batteries and have had no trouble with my mech mods. So I don't think protected is mandatory if you're using said brands. Others may think different...there is more info that goes deeper into why certain batteries are used to achieve what.

Words of wisdom?
Perhaps not wisdom, but take advantage of your mech mod and try out RBAs!
Unregulated bliss.

Thanks guys. Believe me, RBAs are on my radar as the flavor in my KPTs are "meh".

The mech I have is telescopic, so it'll take dual 18350s. Does the Natural, which is SS, have issues stacking 350s?

Make sure you know all the pitfalls of stacking batts in a mech mod. It's not something I do because of the added safety concern and also there is no reward to gain when using RBA's, which I do. As far as I know any time anyone has had a mod explode in their mouth it was using stacked batts in a mech mod.

Yeah, that's less than a pleasant thought. I know it takes some tricking to get stacked 350s to work right in my vamo. Maybe a cheap fuse ain't such a bad idea.

I use Panasonic IMR hybrids (the ever popular CGR18650CH) in everything, including my mechs. No, I don't use a kick. No, I don't use a fuse. No, I don't stack. Yes, I have Efest IMR 18350s too but prefer the larger 650's.

Yes, clearos and the like will work on a mech but really an *unregulated* mech and SLR (below 1.2 ohms) RBAs and drippers were almost made for each other. I have a cup of clearos that collect dust now.

Enjoy! :)
