What's up guys? I've been vaping my mvp v2 for two weeks now with original iclear 16 and igo w rda. I must say I love it!! I'm thinking about trying out amech mod now (not looking to sub ohm) being I'm a noob and still have a lot to learn, any ideas on something decent? I'm bit looking to break the bank, I'm on a pretty tight budget. Thanks in advance

While the vamo v5 may be a decent device the OP is interested in getting a mechanical mod.

For your $80 budget you should easily find a decent mech mod clone and another RDA. Also factor in the cost of buying good quality batteries, battery charger and multi meter or 510 ohm checker. This is important.

You also said you'll get another clearomiser for it. Personally I think a clearomiser would be better used on your MVP 2 as they benefit from that VV/VW capability, but if you're going to get a new one something like an aspire nautilus or nautilus mini would be good. Maybe a kanger product like an aerotank also. There are plenty of people with more clearomiser experience than I that will chime in I expect.

As for the mech mod and RDA, the choice is huge. My first mech was a nemesis clone and it's been great, it's a good all rounder I think. Others that come to mind include the stingray, cartel, vanilla, panzer, chi-you, pegasus etc etc. There are loads, but I'd stay away from something with a hybrid adapter for now like a 4nine.

Good RDAs for beginners/intermediate in my opinion include (but not limited to): Magma, trident, quasar, other IGO models, mephisto, zenith, tobh, patriot etc etc. Basically anything with a 'typical' 3 post design and side adjustable airflow. The Magma is a little different but is excellent and not any harder to use. I've personally been enjoying the plume veil and the veritas lately but they are a bit more complicated.

In general for buying clones, do try and find out the manufacturer of the clone and find reviews here or elsewhere online to see how the build quality is. I've always done my research when buying a clone and haven't had many issues with them, but there will be some duds out there.

Also for mech mods, and this is very important, read up about battery safety if you haven't already:

Taste Your Juice | BATTERY INFORMATION

There are also stickies in the sub forums for mechanical mods and rebuildable atomizers with information regarding this.

Hope this helps a bit

Just an FYI (as dw117 said) -- a good charger and appropriate batteries and ohm reader (if you at some point plan to sub-ohm) need to be planned for. Plan on budgeting ~ $60.00.

If you get a Vamo, many members have reported it coming with trustfire batteries & charger which are good for flashlight use, not e-cig mods.
