I agree with staying at 18mg or under nic level. I was also a "Light" smoker and find 18-12 mg to be perfect.

Finding the right juice is kinda fun. Mt. Baker is good and priced right. I also recommend Halo & Johnson Creek. Start with the sampler kits and find the ones you like. Stay with US made juices.

Well, after over a week I decided to take the plunge and get a rebuildable Carto. I filled it and... it doesnt work very well??

There is plenty of fluid but when you draw it sounds like there is air escaping and no vapor.. at all..??

I have it on a 650 charged battery.. checked all the connections.. still the same... Like smoking an analog that has a tear or hole in it.. Lots of effort but no draw or vapor.

What am I doing wrong??

Can you post a link to what you have. I'm not aware of any cartos that are rebuildable.

Welcome.. I like to test products my self from many different vendors .. I also prefer 1.2 nic.. seems to fill in quite nicely from the old mouth full of Copenhagen and not to harsh ..

Welcome to the PV world . I've been smoke free for 3 months and I have NEVER looked back. I currently have a joye 510-T (perfect for driving and at work), and a 1000MAH Ego Twist (more for chilling in my room it's too bulky for work or drives). In regards to your nic mg question, I actually have several different juices, some at 12mg, 18mg, 24mg and what I vape depends on what mood im in. If im playing my xbox, ill vape 24 as I dont have alot of time to sit there and vape with my hands on the controller, but if im driving around, I love a low mg because I chain smoke while driving. Being honest, I think you need to experiment with different flavours / nic concentration, as the nic mg will also effect the taste and throat hit.

Same here. Between the nicotine and the "ritual", I never thought I'd get this far (not quite quit tobacco but down to... three a day... ish...?).

Questions:

What level of nic should we be using? We smoked Menthol lights 100s. It came with a 1.2 nic 10mil vial of juice. She seems to be OK with it but I think I need a bit more?

I don't know there is a "should". I smoked a menthol light 100 myself but was doing as much as two packs a day (though I suspect about half that was wasted... bad habit of lighting one then forgetting it in the ashtray while I was at the computer). I'm using 1.8% or 2.4% right now. But the level for everybody is different. Whatever level keeps you away from the "stink sticks".

You should be using the level of nicotine that you are comfortable with. If you are feeling anxious and jumpy get more nicotine, if you are getting headaches and are nauseous you should use less.
I read somewhere that 50 cents a ml is a good place to be for juice. Some are just over, some are under. It looks like you can mix your own for under 10 cents a ml, including the container.

Oh! Thanks! I've only been vaping for a week, but have had a non-stop headache. I thought it was from the withdrawals of non-smoking. I didn't realize it could be that 24mg might be to much. I originally smoked 1 PAD of Ultra Lights. lol

1 PAD ultra lights? Yeah, 24mg could easily be too much. I was a 2 PAD smoker and that's the kind of level I use. You might want to back that down a lot, see if the headache goes away.

Yes, I think I called it the wrong thing.. What I have is what I think is a Clearomizer.

Still not sure what the differences are.. Atomizer, Cartomizer and Clearomizer.. then Im hearing of direct drip?

Then I found out the one I have is not compatable with my 510 battery. I thought it was all pretty universal? Its not leaking and the seems to screw right up?

I got my first kit from Vapor Gurus | E-cigarette starter kits | e-juice since I didnt know much better... came with the batteries and the small plastic mouth pieces with the cotton that you fill up 3-4 times a day... Good for a starter but moved on pretty quick.

Like most folks I did a bit of research and was overloaded by info... almost too much. Then I ran across a thread that stated "GET SOMETHING" and start odds are good you will change but do SOMETHING.

Ive been wanting to quit for years and breaking the mechanical ritual was a killer.. But I pulled the trigger ordered an Ego kit with 2 batteries 650s, juice and so on and havent even thought about going back!! love it!

My wife actually smoked more than I did I knew sooner or later it would catch up to both of us.. 20+ years.
I didnt even talk to her about it just did it. On Mon Mar 11th I got my kit and been with it ever since. That night as she was having a real one I wasnt even tempted.. By the end of that night.. she loved it too.

So since both of us have been vaping, out to dinner.. out for drinks.. VERY COOL!!



As mentioned we have just the small kit were you have to load the liquid with the small black mouthpieces and cotton ball. Works for a while then we reload.

Yes, I know we can get bigger batteries and or an APV.

Since I've just ordered my first vapping supplies on Monday, I really can't give you any advice...but I did want to say that after reading Many great reviews on Mom and Pop Vapor Shop, I placed my order with them on Monday morning for e Juice..by that afternoon I received an email saying they had already shipped out my 75ml of juice. Now if their juice is as good as what others have said, and as good as their service, I may never order from any one else!

Mt baker is the way to go. I was about a pack and a half a day on camel crush. I started at 24 mg. I kept on 24 for about 3 weeks then dropped down to 18. I am now at 12. Id suggest the black or blue Ice to fill that menthol craving if you have it

Well Gang,

15 days and going strong.. I have to go out to the smoking area (crack house!) to vape not tempted.. all is well.

Still trying to find some good flavors... Ordered some samplers.. some OK some not...

I got a disposable cartomizer.. worked well for 10 days or so then I got a Clearomizer with the replaceable wicks.. So far so good.

Which you you all like better? I seem to get a better draw from the Cart?...or it is just me?

I have only used a clearomizer so not sure about the carts..

On the flavors.. taste is so subjective. I use red and white from vaporkings (my local) exclusively right now. But I have 11 new flavors (from mtbakervapor.com) steeping in the closet. The wait is killing me! Go to a local shop and try some flavors if you can. Finding that ADV (all day vape) is really tough for some.

Vapor tongue! That's what I get by Sunday after the weekend off.. Didn't know it had a name, lol!
