ISO is better than rubbing alcohol, but 10 min drying time may not be enough. It really has to be bone dry before you use the wick. I use vodka only, but I may be too cautious.

ISO is fine to clean the outside of your gear, I clean all threads (both on my batteries and my chargers with ISO.

After about 5 days of use one of my two batteries I ordered got burnt up I am assuming. I was using it one day and getting great smoke on one of the clearomizers it came with. The battery light popped on and stayed on and I noticed it so I clicked it 5 times to shut it off real fast, but nothing happened. I clicked it again another 5 times to try and get it to shut off and it would not shut off the light was just lit the whole time. I then tried to hold the power button down for a long time to try and get it to shut off. I unscrewed the clearomizer then tried all that then put it back on and off once again. This all happening while the indicator light on the top of it still being lit. A couples minutes had passed since it was on and I was still trying to get it to shut off the little metal ring surrounding got nuclear hot. I ended up burning the .... out of my thumb messing with the power button trying to get it to turn off. After a bit the light on the unit just clicked off to some nervous relief. The unit cooled down but would not turn back on even after placing it on the charger for 3 hours which I monitored sitting next to it just in case something bad started to happen again. I'm kinda ...... it burnt me but relieved it didn't catch on fire or explode.

I contacted the website I bought it from and would like to change my review from good to negative. Ive been in contact with them a few times since it had happened. I realize its a twist knock off battery and wanted to exchange it for the twist battery they sell. They said I could do that and pay the difference I emailed them back and said that was fine to hold it back for me. They then sold all of them they had and told me they couldn't order more from joyetech until they sell all the evics they have in stock. I would now not recommend shopping with them.
