little of my past experience as to why I'm not impressed-I recently bought a bottle of Boss Reserve 4% from a local retailer and was recommended to me. It has this maple taste to it and it rich smelling..was the most horrid after taste though, I literally gave the $30 bottle away to my father in law. I usually lurk get ideas on good juices from consensus, and Virus took the prize for most votes, most talked about, at least in my search. Now I use a sigelei 30 watt box mod, and vape at the max 30 watts. So to the present, I bought 4% The Virus, and ACB they arrived today so no steep time. I pulled off the cap and it smelled just like Boss Reserve.. i was in total shock and disbelief.. Surely these juices won't taste the same.. NO WAY bobas bounty would lose to a Boss Reserve type taste in juice of the year. Well it is almost exactly the same for me.. One thing tho the mix of this maple taste is far less atrocious then the Boss Reserve I gave away. I literally could not even vape that stuff, but the taste of this is on the same line..BUT the biggest hype is how it evolves with the steeping period so lets hope that holds true. The ACB smells dang near the same but I haven't tasted it yet. So I wan't to know do any of you who just absolutely love this juice, were any of you just as big into Bobas at one time? Cause i just cant see how its better, different but Bobas seems more a category of its own i guess IMO.

Not giving up on the Virus, just sorely disappointed that this was the taste that the rave was about. My ADV's are Cereal Killa, Bobas Bounty.. But Cereal Killa i just cant put down. I honestly just dont think I'm a fan of this maple, that may be all there is to it.
edit: sorry using Atlantis Aspire .5 ohm coil RTA on my 30 watt Siegelei
also no longer waiting on Provari need to figure out to change that lol, Provari served its time for a few years.

Not to fear. Many folks get The Virus, go "Ooo ick!!!" and stuff it away for a bit then think, "Hmmm...maybe I should try that again..." and get HOOKED!

Though not every juice will be outstanding to everyone. Wait a bit and try it again and if you still don't like it put it on the swaps thread to try something else. :thumb:

ACB will benefit with some steep so even if it doesn't hit for you now, stash it away and try again in a month or so. That one is more caramel to Virus for me. But again YMMV.

And thank you for your honest assessment. EVERY opinion is welcome here. Sharing your honest experience helps everyone, especially Nicoticket!! :D

Hsmith,

In the beginning I wasn't a fan of Virus at all. It was okay but was way down the list for me of NT juice favorites. Time warp to almost a year later and it is probably 4th or 5th on my list of favorites, at any stage of steeping. ACB is one flavor I don't seem to able to be without, just LOVE that caramelly goodness.
Hope they'll hit for you at some point and I appreciate your honest assessments.

I really like everything from Nicoticket EXCEPT the Virus. It was horrid the first, second, third, etc. time that I tried it. I too was disappointed. I just ordered ACB for the first time and hope it is not a repeat of the Virus experience. Again, I love Nicoticket, but tastes are so subjective. Who knows, maybe I (we) got bad bottles.

I seem to recall my first review of the Virus. I wasn't impressed either. I actually stuffed it away for a time and decided to try it again. Before I could get through my first 6ml bottle in my Reo, I was officially infected and hooked. It's been my every day all day vape. Don't write it off. Let it sit a couple weeks and give her another go. Maybe it will surprise you. ACB definitely needs some deep steep time. Let it sit for a good while shaking occasionally and it'll come to life.

Thank you for the candid feedback! Some people are #INFECTED, and others aren't! I'm done comparing The Virus to Boba's Bounty though - two different companies, two different liquids... they just happen to be in the same general flavor profile. I am sitting on over 500ml of well-steeped Boba's Bounty if that's an indication the level of respect I have for AV. I've never tried Cereal Killa, but then again - why would I when I have Bedrock from Big Red Vapor? :)

The "bad bottle hypothesis" doesn't really apply to Nicoticket... there's a lengthy explanation on the blog...

Thanks, Kent. You and your whole crew are hep cats!

We're working hard to make sure every single bottle gets enjoyed to the fullest extent possible. We're putting in work - doing our best to make liquid that is consistent - tastes as intended, etc.

Like others, I too didn't like the Virus at first. It was too nutty, very coffee, and not tobacco at all for me. Instead, it was Bobas that did it for me when i first started vaping. Fast forward a year, I've put aside BB as its very harsh/strong on my throat(maybe the bottle!), and am hooked & infected by The Virus. I agree taste is subjective, but also guess it changes over time.

Let it steep...like really steep.

May the strain be with you :D

From the blog, " we have samples of every batch we have ever made since we transitioned from making “made to order custom liquid” to being a “pre-steeped, batch liquid” manufacturer. "

Wait wait...just wait a minute here. You mean there is a sample bottle of Katy's Virus somewhere in Clarks' Nicoticket lair? When this is no longer useful for historical record keeping purposes please send this to the Nicoticket Pocono Mountains Long-Term Storage Facility. ;)

I like Virus fresh ...not so much after some months ( I need to dilute it with a Crème Brule max VG though to lessen the PG) - ACB, I like it fresh and steeped :)

I didn't like Bobas Bounty ..had an unpleasant undertone for me.

Someone once said that Dragonscape was similar to Virus ...it isn't ....(nice though).

So many variations and combinations possible with equipment, liquid strength, wattage etc. Plus we can all be different when it comes to taste.

There isn't any rotation for me with the Virus. It's got a permanent spot and in use daily. Wakonda has another spot and ACB as well. I've got one Reo that's about a year old that has never tasted any other flavor in it. Different attys, but the same Virus. I can't imagine being without. I'm down to about 210ml and am already contemplating my BOGO move! If you, or anyone really don't feel that the Virus is for you, I know there are many here who would be willing to help it relocate ;).
